They quote 1 Timothy 2:8, where "lifting up holy hands" is mentioned.
Which is ok, but that doesn't and shouldn't negate other body postures used in worship.
This is what they seem to want it to look like;
I'm more ok with this;
Personally.
The lifting of holy hands is what I was taught. The Bible states there is more than one right posture for worship or prayer. I pray while I am driving, too. Anytime and okay is okay for prayer if you can do it safely. I would think if you're on the phone with somebody, then it isn't good unless it's a short one due to the nature of the call, i.e. it may be important, emotional, unpleasant, may be good or bad news, or you feel you want to. I mean you want to give undivided attention to your prayer and worship to God. I think we do that automatically when we go to church to worship and pray. What is more important than form is being sincere and you are praying from your heart.
The other part of prayer is that one should make prayer and worship to God part of their life. Anytime and any position is fine if you are sincere and it isn't disrespectful or anything like that. It may have to be silent. There may be times when you are in need, so kneeling is fine if that makes you feel more heartfelt and sincere. Of just sitting and bowing. I've done that, too. It could be in normal, everyday situation, so I've said a silent prayer for somebody while just talking with them.
Other times, it's for the everyday things. For example, after I check the stove, make sure the heating, a/c, or lights are out, and lock the front door, I say, "Jesus bless me," so I'll remember I locked the door. If you misplaced your keys or something and are trying to find it, then saying, "Jesus bless me" helps, too. It may trigger your subconscious to help you to remember.
Many times, we hear of someone who we don't know well or an acquaintance is having difficulties. I include them in my prayers for people I know or heard about their problems. I say I pray for those whom I know or have heard who are having medical, financial, addiction, or relationship problems. When I say
addiction problems, it could be bad mental habits, ignorance, being too shy, being too boastful, spending too much money, being lazy, procrastination, etc. It does not necessarily have to do with illicit drugs or alcohol. Usually, it is without them knowing. However, I have told people that I will be praying for them if I thought it would pick up their spirits, beneficial to them, signify that I will be thinking of them, or thought it would be important for them to hear your words. Overall, praying and worshiping God should become part of your life and living.
