Do you kill insects?

Every creature is a creation of God. Doesn't entitle it to die of old age. Viruses and bacteria can be deadly. The mosquito is the most dangerous creature in the world because of what it carries. It has killed more people than any other animal.

Perhaps you would enjoy living in a place that is infested with cockroaches then. And I mean every cockroach one to three inches from the next one... every flat surface covered with them.

They are not clean creatures. Therefore I do not want them in my home or car. However, I don't mind the insects in my house that kill the other insects.

Scouting ants that explore leave a trail for other ants to follow. They are attracted by the scent of food, they sneak around and get into the opened food, you don't know that there are ants in your home until you spot one. The trail contaminates whatever clean thing it has crawled on.

Spiders bite the person that they crawl on.. at night while you sleep, or while your sitting in a chair. The bite becomes itchy and lasts for days. Sometimes they return and bite again in the exact same place. In extreme cases an allergic person could have a severe attack or die.
With their manners they deserve to be and stay outdoors. If they sneak inside then yes, they forfeit their lives.
Animals that also live outdoors have to put up with them, I don't. Even though God has provided animals with a tail to bat them away, yet I notice that the swatting is almost constant. God has also gifted those animals that they don't go crazy with the persistant insects hovering and landing on them.

40 or so years ago a house I moved into had roaches, food roaches I spent a few years trying to kill them. Finally free of them but recently I found 3 of them in a box and I tried to kill them but they got away. I am so freaked about it because they just boom into millions, terrible dirty things. I get a few sewer roaches which are huge but they are easy to kill and don't breed much in comparison to the food roaches. I am praying that they don't make any headway.

I think it is the lonely spider, fly, roach and the rest that are struggling to stay alive. I then become their worst nightmare. Final death. Only because they are weak.

LOL! Thank God they ARE solitary sometimes. and "visible".....

it's those miniscule ones, like dust mites and/or bed bugs that can multiply into whole armies of unseen attackers.

Yes ... many of them are full of sin. ;o)

I kill poisonous snakes as well as they are full of sin as well. ;o)

To turn all this in a serious direction - I've often wondered if some enterprising government official could turn the ease with which insects produce and the fact that they eat waste and green matter that is of no use to society to an advantage for the world's poor and starving. We could grow them as a protein food source to distribute to starving third world people.

I'm thinking of dehydrated high protein cockroach or locust bricks delivered by the ton. I doubt that they'd draw the line at eating them any more than John did.

I don't know all of the logistics.

I am being quite serious by the way.

One of my nieces accidently ran over her 16 year old cat. She wasn't as fast as she used to be. Broke her heart. She's not been able to get another cat since.

Yeah, my wife took about 5 years before she would allow another one in the house (She can hardly even bare to look at the urn of our beloved "Scratches"). And it took an insidious and expensive (about $200k) plot to get it done.

Go to any Mexican market in Mexico---they always have the grasshopper and ant baskets of crispy fried critters. Here in Vegas we just had a huge downpour of grasshoppers--some pizzeria got creative and scooped them up as a pizza topping---was popular while they lasted.

I have one urn also with "Doggie." Yes, we named our cat Doggie! We were thinking of naming our dog Cat, and putting up a sign that read--"Beware of Cat--nice Doggie though!" But we named her Sparky.

We got quite few of them for a while here in Lake Havasu City Az. But for some reason not as many as you guys or even some other Arizona cities like Phoenix.

I didn't eat any though. Enchiladas are my Mexican food of choice.

I never kill Black Widow spiders---I sweep them outside. As a child I used to play with Black Widows, had a big box in the basement where I kept them, and I'd stick my hands in their nests and they'd crawl on me. I thought they were pretty. Hey---lonely kids do strange things!---I never got bit. Later I found out they are venomous--I think now, that I am afraid of their bite, I would get bitten. I don't kill crickets either, or Lady bugs. My St. Bernard used to eat those big, ugly tomato worms off the tomato plants--Gross, but he loved them.

I mean it's an idea... "Cockroach Brick" sound super appetizing...

I'd rather find a way to control bugs better like introducing hybrids which create sterile offspring. I really don't know why that hasn't become more common with some of these bugs.

they eat everything in Mexico... Everything from a cow or bull can be turned into some kind of recipe it seems. And the corn smut we try to prevent here is a delicacy. I admittedly tried it at home when my corn grew some and it really didn't taste bad at all...
