Not really. I'd say it's pretty typical... in a world where so many people are pre-occupied with the physical realities of this world, the material that will eventually pass away and the self-centeredness which naturally ensues.

Not really. I'd say it's pretty typical... in a world where so many people are pre-occupied with the physical realities of this world, the material that will eventually pass away and the self-centeredness which naturally ensues.

Its quite sad though, I pity those people. To be honest, I do not understand it at all but maybe thats because I have always been a deep thinker. Materialism has never been able to fill that void in me, only God has. Its unfortunate that many go on with life loving objects that cannot love them back.

Fortunately, I have and am encouraging my family to think more about God and whether he exists or not. They are all agnostic apart from my Dad who is a christian but I think I have possibly opened up their minds to the fact that God exists.

I am not sure. I have met many people who don't seem to have a curious mind at all when it comes to the meaning of life and just go with what most people think.

Some people don't give it a thought, that is true. But people like me and you who are deep thinkers will mull over these topics whether we want to or not.

Most shallow people and people who are preoccupied with their own problems and lives usually don't think about it nor care to. I personally wonder this as well.

I also believe that there are instances in which individuals ask themselves such questions, but due to their sheer magnitude, they deliberately choose to suffocate them. It is man's sinful inclination to vehemently embrace comfort, to flee the notion that radical change is required of them, to ignore the reality that they are accountable to a holy God, first and foremost, and not to themselves.

I don't think I have ever met anyone who never asked themselves those questions. If there is a problem its because they asked them, found an answer that doesn't involve any work on their part and after that they were immunised in a sense against answers that do.

No, because honestly seeking answers to these questions might mean that the person has to change their life.

Its much easier to make up your own God who agree's with everything you do then to accept that the true God is right and not you.

Its also tougher to look upon your life and realize your sinfulness.
