You only get old if you don't evolve with the times. I know people in their 60's who are younger spiritually than those half their age.

Sure, they might need the odd hip replacement, and they'll probably live on a diet of gruel and whitebait to manage their cholesterol, but mentally, they're still hanging with the hipsters. (Google Annie Nightingale for an example of this - 79 and still pounding out the beats at from 1am)

Do tell. Where have you read about this?

Believe they can already double the lifespan of mice. Not sure if they can make it "younger", but they can certainly slow the aging process and extend the animal's life.

Also some animals can naturally de-age. Like a certain type of jellyfish that is technically biologically immortal.

It's funny you don't think 40 is old for other people.

You know it's young these days given the longer life span and how people marry and have children late.

You look at other 40 year old's and think of them as young and cool.

But when it's coming to you, it's so scary. You feel old...why?

No one asks my age.

The women age slowly in my family. I inherited great genes, had a skin regime at 8 thanks to my aunt, and was seeing an esthetician at 14. I take good care of myself.

My friends are in their late 20s to mid-40s. No little old ladies are making matches. :)

I date men in their thirties. Have no wrinkles, lines or crows feet. And would never have botox.

I’m aging gracefully and it’s a delight to behold. Forty is a non-issue unless you desire a family and want to bear children.

No one asks my age. That’s a faux pas.

That's amazing. Did you start your daughter early on skin regime too?

I know it's a faux pas to ask, but some people have asked me anyway. It's usually people who are much older than me, who don't think it's a big deal.

Not at that age. I spent weekends with her growing up and she never had children. There were a lot of firsts with her. :p

I’m in the midwest and they don’t do it. I never knew the ages of the women at church save one who told me. Other than friends and family I’m clueless.

I never thought about that until you mentioned it.

I didn't fear turning 40, but I was surprised. I thought I would be dead before the age of 40.

I'm turning 43 next week and I'm still surprised. There's no logical reason why I should be alive.

I believe it, in Midwest, people are more proper than where I live (where it's a bit laid back).

Your family is incredibly lucky...then, there are us mortals (lol), who get the full effects of aging.

We were all ageing before we were born. That's life. I won't think of myself as old until I'm at least 75. And, if I'm so fortunate as to reach that age, I'll probably increase it to 85.. or 95... or higher.

I work with someone who is 50, and considers everyone over 30 to be old. What a depressing perspective. Glad I don't see things that way.

Aging is inevitable. The sooner people accept that, the easier it will become once it starts happening.

I feel it's harder for women...men are considered attractive at any age if they have wealth, fame, and/or power. It's unfair.

Definitely so. I wouldn’t ask that for anything. I may get my feelings hurt. :p

We’re all aging. In my family, those with oval faces have better fat distribution and our bone structure minimizes sagging.

I’m prone to sunburn. Especially on my face, neck and back. I couldn’t live in a climate with extreme temperatures. I’d need a parasol. And should be using one if I’m honest.

Check out Hello Glow. She has great recipes for skincare. :)

I'm looking forward to it, if it'ts in God's will.

I dreaded turning 30 but I realise it was a blessing as my brother died at 30 and my partner the day before his 27th birthday.

Age is just a number to me now and I actually can't remember which one. Maybe as I get closer to 40 I might find it easier to remember :D

Thank you. This is a neat website. Here, we live in a beach/ tanning culture. It was cool when I was a teenager, but now I have irreversible sunspots.
