  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Do you ever...

Completely!! I so wish I was back at school with my friends, I think we all do to some extent. They're our new family, at least to me. It's also hard that we all live scattered out so it's hard to see your friends even once or twice during however long you have off...three weeks in my case. Hopefully it passes soon!

haha, YES! I love my friends, my social network, my classes, my job, EVERYTHING. I would be happy with 1 week off for Christmas. as it is, i'm lucky-I only have 2. (I do LOVE my family, but most of my friends have changed a lot and there's not a whole lot to do in this small town).

I feel that way all the time, especially after my freshman year, I have more friends that are here than at home and I can only deal with family for so long if you know what I mean.
The past three years I've been back before New Year's. This year I was finished Tuesday of finals week and went home the following Wednesday then came back a few days before New Year's. So I think I was home for maybe a week and a half, I've got more of a reason to be back this year than I had in the past

I feel you. When I first went to college, I wanted to be like Van Wilder but now man I just want to get out. I've been in school way too long. I'm using every route possible (taking summer courses, going to other schools for certain credits). Seriously, its painful now. I can't get the work schedule that I want because school is interfering.

I know exactly what you mean, to the point where when I say I'm "going home" it's understood that I mean back to college.
haha..I shocked myself the first time I did that..

but then again..this really is my home, seeing as I rent a house..

but yeah...when I was still in dorms and had to go home for breaks, I was good for like a day or two and then I wanted to get back.

Now it's the opposite..I can't wait to have a chance to spend time with my family

Yeah, quite frequently. School isn't great. I'm working on building new friendships this year, so I don't have very many friends I am very open with at this point, but we're getting there. It's still better than home though, lol, at least there is something to do. If not with friends, there is always that pile of homework that is collecting dust.
