It's not random, and only vaguely (sp?) mentioned in the Bible. In Matthew 18:10, Jesus says not to look down on little ones becuase "their angels always see the face of my Father in heaven." If you have God inside of you though, why would you need an angel? Just a thought.

I personally do not believe in coincidence, or in randomness. God knows every outcome and has a purpose for every meeting... even for us being here to type to each other... so if He assigned angels to us, it wouldn't be random. He would definitely have a purpose and specific reason for choosing each one. We just don't really know what that is :) Have a great day!

Thats probably not an angel, thats probably God you are talking to.

God uses angels, but you don't have a relationship with them, it is with God throught the Holy Spirit that you have the relationship with.

Yes, we most certainly do have a guardian angel. The bible says so I think the verse goes something like, 'the heavenly father beholds the face of their angels" or something to that effect.

I only pray to our Father through Jesus, I don't believe in praying to angels or anyone else. I ask our Heavenly Father to send his warring angels to build a hedge of protection (around whomever I'm asking this for) and to protect the person from the enemy. I'm not saying that you are right or wrong in how you pray or whom you pray to, I'm just telling you what I do.

Peace & Love,

Linda

I think you brought up a good point. We should never try to speak directly to any unholy angel. We should always rebuke them by asking God to do so. It can spell real trouble for anyone who thinks he/she can do this because we are far inferior to these evil demons and if we give them any kind of authority at all they can do a number on us.

The bible indicates you can speak with angels in that in Luke chapter 1 Mary was given a message by an angel and then she asked a question that the angel answered.

I agree with praying to the Father in the name of Jesus. The gospel of John in chapters 14 through 16 indicate that the Father will give you whatever you ask in Jesus' name.

As for unholy angels, well they dont wear a badge as far as I can tell. I understand that it was a fallen angel taking 1/3rd of the angels of heaven that make up satan and his hordes so it would be easy to be decieved thinking you are talking to a holy angel when you are actually talking with with an unholy angel. These unholy angels know the ways of heaven and the holy angels so would find it easy to fake things. Satan even tried to tempt Jesus (Matthew 4). If you just talk to the Father in the name of Jesus then I suppose its hard to go wrong........

I have a guardian angel. Sometimes he looks like a wolf, other times, just a man-figure. I named him too. He's more of a background figure than anything else, just in case I might need him. I'm sure there have been times where he's gotten me out of a bind; I just don't realize it. ;) I ask him to take care of me sometimes. He always does that anyway, but I like to thank him every now and then. I'm sure he helps carry my prayers to God too.

Angels have been known to take on the appearance of man in some occasion in the times of the Bible. There is a verse somewhere in the Bible to the effect that angels wont manifest themselves very often because man would lose site of God and worship or praise the angels. Angels are said to move swiftly about from place to place but are not omni present as God is. There are angels that (cannot sin) ,(have free will but dont sin) and angels that (allways sin) those are the ones that have gone to satin. The ones that cannot sin are said to be Gods "favored angels"

Anyone here read the book "this present darkness" and its sequel? I think it is a good story and gives a feel for the wars that go on in the spirit world...

Yes yes yes!

Prank Perreti's "This Present Darkness" and it's sequal "Piercing the darkness" are very good books - Iand I think they do outline what might be going on in the Spirit world - because I believe Peretti to be a man of God - and show's his views via the books he rights.

Ever read his "The Oath"?

That's another good book - though, nothing to do with Angels and Demons mind :p

And Yes, I too believe in Angels, and demons too.

though, Praying to them I would not do.

Nor would I pray to a "Saint" - because according to the bible - we're all saints :) (christians that is :))

S Walch,
I have seen "The oath" in book shops but but read it. I normally read books I am "lead" to read and thats how I ended up reading the two I mentioned. I think there is a time in each persons walk for them to read the variety of books out there. I think these two books were most enlightening for me on what may be occuring in the spirit world. The good thing was they are really good books to read even if you are not a Christian and just want a story to read.....

A book called "6 hours one Friday" is probably the best book I have read but is not by Frank Peretti. I normally read it once a year over Easter weekend however I decided someone elese needed to read it and it has not come back. I think I will have to buy another copy with Easter only a month away.....
