I just wanted to know if Baptists in general consider themselves part of the reformation or a church that existed before the reformation. (Sorry, I tend not to express myself well on the internet...sorry for the confussion.)

I'm a Baptist and I would say (as before) no we were not and are not protestants (unless you're a Catholic, then everyone else in the universe is a protestant).

It's hard to consider ourselves protestant especially considering that the Catholics AND protestants used to make us martyrs. The anabaptists that is...

I do not concider to be part of the reformation because there were other New Testiment churches established that were NOT Roman Catholic all over the place. They were just called heretics. That does not mean that they really were.
