Ok, poor wording on my part. Obviously a theist believes religion began with divine contact, not an idea. Regardless, my point is that the first suggestion of religious belief is well into human history, and the beginning of the Abrahamic religions is even later. Homo sapiens had been surviving for more than 100k years by that point. There's no basis for saying that we would die off without religion.

Once again, I don't know what you mean by "choose" here. It really doesn't make sense to say "choose" at all. The issue is whether one is convinced or not. You clearly are. But the question is why, which relates back to the previous question I asked.
So you know such claims are true because you have "searched the Scriptures"? But what of those who have searched other scriptures and come to a radically different conclusion?
But you haven't been able to explain in what sense it is a "choice." So your points remains... in need of further support.
