But the republicans don't uphold Christian values. They are the party of money and greed, both distinctly un-Bibical positions. As much as Bill Maher is a nut case, he gets it right on that...
I do not have a problem with this. But... I could not vote for the Mormon, Mitt Romney.
Vote against mammom-grubbing and you then vote for liberal causes like abdication of personal responsibility and any-sex you want to be thinking.
He isn't the anointed one but he has done more good than the media will ever relay to the masses. Beyond that... the Kingdom isn't here in the physical sense, yet. So, until it is, we simply have to do the best we can under the conditions we are in.That goes along with what another poster said, that there are still issues to address along the way. Abortion being one of them. But again, can we really sway the path we are on? We vote in Trump as the lesser evil over Hillary. Many seem to think he's the anointed one. BUT - his is the group that steals from the poor and middle to enrich his already rich buddies. His is the group that, when faced with pleas from the sick, buys up the companies that make medicines and jacks the prices up. The face of the conservative movement isn't Jesus, it's Martin Shkreli. Do we empower greed and selfishness just to over rule abortion?
I'll take a narcissist over murder, yes. I would rather vote for a guy that has a chance to repent, then to take the life of somebody that will never know the embrace of a loving parent. But that is me, it doesn't have to be you... and on this one, I am not budging.Do we empower greed and selfishness just to over rule abortion?
Yes it does. No one knows when Jesus will return so it is important to vote for the candidate which you feel best agrees with your idea of what Your country needs. We were told thousands of years ago where the world would end up - in the hands of the antichrist. Each successive world leader is but a stepping stone towards that end. Seeing as there is no way to vote ourselves off this path (since the path has been set according to the Word of God), does it make sense to vote at all any more?
We are very close to the end of the Church age. Then we will enter into the Kingdom age. Some people believe we are already in the Kingdom age. When we will rule and reign with Christ for 1,000 years.I meant the end of the current version of this world, of course.
We are not to trust in our-self, we are to trust in the Holy Spirit of God to guide us.Is voting for the lesser evil still not a vote for evil?
I'm against - but you can't be a single-issue voterThe #1 issue is abortion. Are you for or against it?
I'm saying that both republican and democratic agendas, though seemingly so opposite, arise from the same source and reach the same destination. And that we ought not to support either one of them.I'm just not understanding what you are trying to say, or which party you are talking about. And especially what you stand for.
Yes, I'm talking about their ruling echelon. I know there are many good faithful Christians in either party's memberships who don't support the extreme agendas of the body politic."republicans don't uphold Christian values". Guessing your talking as a whole.
At some point doing the best we can means abandoning the greater AND lesser evils. He isn't the anointed one but he has done more good than the media will ever relay to the masses. Beyond that... the Kingdom isn't here in the physical sense, yet. So, until it is, we simply have to do the best we can under the conditions we are in.
Blessings Ricky.
Nor would I ask you toI'll take a narcissist over murder, yes. I would rather vote for a guy that has a chance to repent, then to take the life of somebody that will never know the embrace of a loving parent. But that is me, it doesn't have to be you... and on this one, I am not budging.
Blessings.

Voting for President in particular and for political office in general is about looking for and voting for the least worst candidate.
Oh, we're there. We are very close to the end of the Church age. .
But if the Holy Spirit said, 'don't vote for either side' would we really hear and/or listen? We are not to trust in our-self, we are to trust in the Holy Spirit of God to guide us.
It really depends on the "evil" we are talking about. If, for instance, one candidate is a Socialist and the other one is a moderate, there are a host of reasons to vote for the moderate, even if some of his proposals don't find favor with you.No. No, no, no no no no no. That's like saying you'll support the guy who adulters with women because he's not as bad as the guy who adulters with men. They are BOTH wrong, they are BOTH against God, and the time has come to stop voting for the lesser evil.
