Do we need a new forum for non-computer games?

Traditional pen and paper roleplaying games, live action roleplaying games, board games and wargames are very quickly lost in this forum section because the overwhelming interest is in Computer & Video games. Can I humbly suggest the possibility of a split? Kelly would make a brilliant moderator for an RPG ('traditional, not computer' section). Any other gamers feel this way?

Yes, but there is a Christian RPG on the forum, albeit an online one, and the point is that Christian rpg folks would like to talk to one another. We are a minority, but a large one, and one which faces miserable misunderstanding from large parts of the Christian community.

I never get to reply to rpg threads, because they banish off the forum too quickly, and because i never know if people are talking pen and paper traditional rpg or computer rpg, as the latter has no interest to me.

The best way I have found is to look fo rthreads by Kelly...
Anyway, what harm is there in it? Another sub-fora is not going to hurt anyone?

You act like people still play those. ;) hehe
I've played them. And not just the standard Monopoly, but those really nastily large war board games. Midway is one, Afrika Korps, uhh....there are other ones that are even larger. West Front by Talonsoft is the computer version of those kinds of games.
As for a seperate forum-section-thingie....uhh, I guess it couldn't hurt to add it. I mean, these forums already have like 100 areas, so another one is nothin' ;) But, it can't be just physical board games, discussion of computer versions has to be allowed :D Trust me, the computer version of those large war boardgames is such a help. It takes like an hour or more(depending on how deep into the game) to take one turn on the real boardgame.

Well, here's a vote for yes. Those that voted no, what's the big deal if there's a seperate section for pen and paper/board/card games apart from console/pc?

My personal inclination is to think that it'd be too low traffic. I play both kinds of games, though, so I'm pretty happy to have a single mixed forum to browse. :)

I think it'd be nice to have a subforum for it. I play it regularly too. But the reason I don't talk about it here as much is that it'll just get lost amongst the digital games. Hence, I just hang around board gaming forums instead. Now if there were a forum here...
