I now don't see a point in listening to arguments from non-Christians since all they seem to spew is ignorance and false information.
This statement is known as a sweeping generalization. I engage reasonable atheists every day. For every statement about theism or Christianity there will always be the question, "How do you know?" To get at the truth of theism it seems we can't utilize scripture since our atheist friends have no reason to accept that evidence as inspired revelation. So we usually start with statements about the world using premises that most or all atheists would agree with.
Remember that all knowledge claims are based on things such as sense perceptions, rationality, memory, introspection, testimony, etc.
Everything that begins to exist has a cause
The universe began to exist
or The universe appears to be fine-tuned for life
if it is fine-tuned it is either by chance, necessity, or design.
If God doesn't exist, objective moral values and duties don't exist.
Objective moral values and duties do exist.
These are 6 examples of premises that most atheists believe in (perhaps the last one would be controversial). So just because someone has a different view than yours we don't brush them off, or use mob tactics and name-calling. We respect their ideas and share where we differ.
Secondly, when people make false claims specifically about Christianity we need to pin down their claims.
e.g. Are you claiming that Jesus taught his followers to hold Jerusalem and start a holy war over control of Jerusalem?
e.g. Are you claiming that because there are some religious hypocrites in your experience that all Christians are religious hypocrites?
Generally, when people make a knowledge claim, you can ask them how they justify that claim.
e.g. Reincarnation comes from the Bible.
Could you show me a passage that you interpret to suggest reincarnation?
e.g. Christianity was a compilation of early myths.
Could you point to the actual texts in ancient myths so I can compare the two. I know that a movie named Zeitgeist came out several years ago and every claim it made about Christianity was falsified with minimal research. Do you have a source that is scholarly and not filled with propaganda?
