  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I did check out the site and it appears that it was written by folks who haven't seen the movie yet. They did state that they had read the book and seen the commercials though. I do have to ask if it was "stereotyping" why does the movie star some of the most famous Italian, African American etc., actors there are? Would they support a movie that would cast people in a negative light, if it weren't supposed to be a comedy? As far as I know, Will Smith has spoken out very much against racism and sterotypes.

I love Swiss cheese.

So there.
Hrm - I love swiss cheese too though.

Thats odd. I love it - you love it.

There must be additives in it that cause one to slightly become addicted to it. I demand the government test all cheese made by the Swiss to undergo testing for different substances.

And this my friend is how a consiparcy theory is started!

Haven't seen the film, but I wonder, do people get up in arms about The Sopranos and The Godfather films and Goodfellas and the like for the same reason? Just a question.
Just what I was going to say. People are too quick to get up in arms about stuff that when compared to other issues in the world, doesn't matter. If you want to "boycott" stuff make sure it is a worthy cause...
