I can’t believe DreamWorks and Steven Spielberg produced a movie that so blatantly stereotypes Italian Americans as ignorant, racist, murderers, and clearly stereotypes African Americans and Latinos negatively. Check out this link boycottsharktale dot com, and take some action as a parent!

I did check out the site and it appears that it was written by folks who haven't seen the movie yet. They did state that they had read the book and seen the commercials though. I do have to ask if it was "stereotyping" why does the movie star some of the most famous Italian, African American etc., actors there are? Would they support a movie that would cast people in a negative light, if it weren't supposed to be a comedy? As far as I know, Will Smith has spoken out very much against racism and sterotypes.

Because those programs are meant for adults who can understand that not all Italians are mafiosos. I can kind of see the original posters concern, but as long as your a good parent a movie won't be able to shape your childs view on different ethnicities.

Well, because of swiss cheese. It costs the same as other cheeses, if not more, yet there's holes in it.

So you end up paying more for less. That's just not right.

Just what I was going to say. People are too quick to get up in arms about stuff that when compared to other issues in the world, doesn't matter. If you want to "boycott" stuff make sure it is a worthy cause...
