CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We've told them about all the issues we're having with people being booted off, and the who is viewing a thread quit working, and sometimes I show as the only person online. So there is a server problem, but they know and are working on it.

FWIW, I never had a problem getting booted off whether I was using my MAC or my PC. Now that I'm not on staff, I constantly have to keep signing in while using my PC.
So I'm determined to believe that this site is pro-staff-MAC.
I do not have any problems still with my MAC. I'm tellin ya, MACs are the way to go.
Now. Back to the original purpose of this thread:
I'm not a particularly quiet person when it comes to the things at this site that concern me. (There are two advisors in this thread that will vouch for me on that). With this "new" staff structure, I do not foresee much changing in terms of what we non-staff members will see. While I was on staff, non-Christian staff were never trouble. They did an outstanding job of upholding the principles of this site. Was I concerned about non-C staff? You betcha...and my concerns were unfounded.
That is not to say that concerns now are unfounded. But before we get all paranoid and start shouting about the sky falling, give the new structure a chance to work.
I may not always agree with the advisors, but I do still trust their decisions and their actions with this site. I happen to know that this site means a great deal to them as it does me, and that they're not here to sabatoge anyone's Christianity, doctrines or beliefs.
So I'm determined to believe that this site is pro-staff-MAC.

Dude, it's been like that for a month now (I think it's been that long!!)
But thanks for the sentiments. I miss being on staff, more than I thought I would. Lots to ponder for the new year, that's for sure!!

Oh I've still been on CF!! I think my house could be on fire but I'd be like "no no, I have to post this thing at CF!!"
I've just been venturing outside my comfort zone lately into different forums around CF. Interesting stuff.I'm just not sure how long I'd actually want to be off staff. I probably ruffled some feathers when I left, too, so I wouldn't want to come back being on bad terms with anyone.
