Do I have to attend church?

I do not think it is necessary to attend church. The primary function of church is to be able to share your faith with other believers. If you have a strong faith, feel free to abstain from attending church for a time. If you eventually find a church that suits you better, resume going to church.

Actually, that is not the main purpose of the church. Research the early church, as well as the teachings on the church. It is very important to attend. God made it for a very good reason. The more I study it, the more I see why. I felt really similarly to you not even weeks ago; you will begin to understand when you research it

i feel the answer is no.. seek God at home if needed... you can still be a child of God without church find some believers and study the word out at home.. groups..

you don't have to go to church to have salvation, but I believe that starves our relationship w/ God if we do not...perhaps you could try going to another church, but there will always be people that don't walk the talk...you need to look for the people that do walk the talk...they are there...I have two Bible references for you....
Matthew 13...I won't paste it here...it reads about the parable of the sower and the parable of the wheat and tares.
then there's this one...
Hebrews 10:23-25 from the new living translation
23 Without wavering, let us hold tightly to the hope we say we have, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. 24 Think of ways to encourage one another to outbursts of love and good deeds. 25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of his coming back again is drawing near.
Its not about you...its about you sharing with those people that don't walk the talk...let your light shine at church to encourage them to start a walkin!!!
