Hi everyone
I posted this post on another part of the CF and got some really good feedback. Someone said I'd get some more feedback from this section, so here it is. I'm interested in finding out the basics of the Christian religion, and what I know so far is below.

Any comments are very welcomed.

(i) god is omnipotent, omniscient, non-material and male (the Father);
(ii) he created everything in the universe at the same time (probably about 6000 years ago);
(iii) the first two humans he created were given explicit verbal instructions by god to not eat fruit from one particular tree (all the other trees were OK);
(iv) the first woman disobeyed this rule and ate an apple from the forbidden tree after being beguiled from god's antithesis (Satan) who had taken the form of a talking snake;
(v) the first man soon followed suit - then god found out about their sin and banished both of them from the garden
(vi) ever since then, all humans, when they are born (but assumedly not while in utero) are tainted with this "original sin"
(?) god has communicated with specific humans ever since - usually verbally - and many of those communications have been written into a 'holy book' which is known as 'god's word' as it is considered to have been written by god, not by humans. It is the only source of truth.
(vii) according to god's immutable law, a human sacrifice is required to atone for these sins for all humans: that is, because Adam and Eve sinned, everyone will die unless a perfect individual is sacrificed; a person who dies without atonement for this original sin (and others) will be condemned to spend eternity in Hell after they die;
(viii) that perfect individual was Jesus, who was born of a virgin about 2000 years ago, and is in fact god in human form, also known as the son of god. He performed many miracles, and when he was about 30 years old, we was crucified and died. Three days later he rose from the dead and now, because he is god, he returned to live with god (his father) in heaven (non-material world).
(ix) finally, if I commit my life to jesus/god and "accept" him as a saviour, he/they will forgive me my sins and I can escape the punishment of being in hell for eternity after I die.

I believe this one is not quite right. But it could be because of my interpretation of the statement.

(?) god has communicated with specific humans ever since - usually verbally - and many of those communications have been written into a 'holy book' which is known as 'god's word' as it is considered to have been written by god, not by humans. It is the only source of truth.

It states that "is known as 'god's word' as it is considered to have been written by god, not by humans”.

The Bible, or God’s word is written by humans. Scholars agree that the books such as 1 Corinthians and 2 Corinthians are letters than have been written by Apostle Paul to the Corinthian church. However, the written words in the Bible have been “inspired by God.” It is God’s Holy Spirit that inspires humans to write God’s word. Yes, one can see it from the perspective that the words come from God and may argue that God does indeed give the words. But God puts the words in written format by way of humans actually writing down the words on paper.

2 Timothy 3:16 helps to explain this. It states, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction of righteousness” (KJV).

Also in 1 Corinthians 2, Paul explains that he received His revelations and words from the Holy Spirit. Paul states the following, “What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught by human wisdom but in words taught by the [Holy] Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words” (1 Corinthians 2:12-13, NIV).

I hope this helps!

Up to the beginning of vii -- this could also be describing Judaism. But note that many Christians (as well as many Jews I guess) consider the Adam/Eve stuff ALLEGORICAL.

So the 6000 year stuff is hooey to a lot of Christians and Jews.

In your vii -- the idea of "human" rather than "blood of bulls and goats" begins to cleave a different path for Christianity than Judaism, although Judaism DID speak of a "suffering servant" and alluded to one who would "engrave his people on the palms of his hands".

("ix) finally, if I commit my life to jesus/god and "accept" him as a saviour, he/they will forgive me my sins and I can escape the punishment of being in hell for eternity after I die. "

Well -- that last one -- if Calvinism is true -- it might not matter what you do or do not "accept" -- God has already decided whether you will roast or not ;and you have no say-so in the matter whatsoever.

I offer substitute points:

i. God created humans, loves them, and wants a relationship with them.

ii. God sent his son - Jesus - and (quoting Z Z Top) :

"You don't have to worry - cuz takin care of business is His name"

iii .. IMO , God created mankind on the sixth day with only the command to replenish the Earth and Every herb bearing seed and Every tree that bears fruit with seed for food .. But Adam was formed to work a Garden and commune with God but with instructions to not eat of the tree of knowledge .. No suitable help mate was found for Adam so God made a perfect female Adam from his rib .. When they disobeyed and eat sin and death entered the creation .. Through Noah and his sons Eve would become mother of all the living and redeemed at the appointed time through Jesus

(i) god is omnipotent, omniscient, non-material and male (the Father);

---God's image is Male/Female. Genesis 1 (Names of God Bible) is Elohim (Father) and Ruach (Feminine / Spirit). "Let US make Adam in OUR image."

(ii) he created everything in the universe at the same time (probably about 6000 years ago);

---Week one was Genesis 1. Elohim Rested. Week 2 is this seven days. In total, we are 13,000 years into this history. 1000 remains. In total, you will have 7X7+1, or a grand jubilee. On the eighth day past this week, time ends. No more shadows. Quantum Mechanics will change. No more entropy or shadows. Light in all directions, meaning the gateways to higher dimension open.

(iii) the first two humans he created were given explicit verbal instructions by god to not eat fruit from one particular tree (all the other trees were OK);

---Not in Genesis 1. Yahweh made this prohibition in Genesis 2, right as he divided the image of Adam (both male and female). He then made Satan in Genesis 3. Yahweh is the adversary (Ego) of mankind. Satan is the conscience (accuser). Overcoming sin is silencing conscience by Loving others. No judgment (overcoming Yahweh). Christ overcame, then silenced Satan in the desert (symbolic of no bread ow water). Genesis 1 shows that all creation was given to man.

(iv) the first woman disobeyed this rule and ate an apple from the forbidden tree after being beguiled from god's antithesis (Satan) who had taken the form of a talking snake;

---She was naked (Arummim). This means not clothed with Knowledge. Satan was Cunning (Arum), meaning he WAS clothed. She was deceived by Yahweh's conscience (lower mind to judge). Yahweh made Satan cunning to divide Eve (weak nature). It was a plan to refine the weak nature of the Son of God (Adam). It was necessary to provide free will. Adam was the Lamb slain (rib taken) from the foundation.

(v) the first man soon followed suit - then god found out about their sin and banished both of them from the garden

---Not God. He knew. Yahweh found out (Ego of Adam). Satan then accused. Together, they are the adversary and accuser of the mind of all men, including Adam. We are all the Son of God. All rulers, powers (Colossians 1).

(vi) ever since then, all humans, when they are born (but assumedly not while in utero) are tainted with this "original sin"

---We are Eve, being refined to rejoin our other nature in perfection above. Just as Yahweh had to be humbled as a Kinsman in Joshua / Yeshua (See Zechariah 3), so too we are baptized as Kinsman in the refined Human below.

(?) god has communicated with specific humans ever since - usually verbally - and many of those communications have been written into a 'holy book' which is known as 'god's word' as it is considered to have been written by god, not by humans. It is the only source of truth.

---All tings are the mind of Adam. All means All.

Colossians 1

15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

ALL.

(vii) according to god's immutable law, a human sacrifice is required to atone for these sins for all humans: that is, because Adam and Eve sinned, everyone will die unless a perfect individual is sacrificed; a person who dies without atonement for this original sin (and others) will be condemned to spend eternity in Hell after they die;

---Genesis 9 (Elohim's words to Adam)

6 “Whoever sheds human blood,
by humans shall their blood be shed;
for in the image of God
has God made mankind.

The Spirit is the bride (Eve) below. The Angel above is our true nature. A human must die. Yahweh did this into Adam as Kinsman. Eve to Mary is his own refined nature. He then entered Joshua / Yeshua (Zechariah 3). He hung on a cross to fulfill this for us all. We too will die below, releasing our mind back to our Angel above. Bride and Groom.

Matthew 18

10 “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.

We are the bride below (child of God). The Angel (groom) faces the Father above. Jesus is the firstfruits of this process. Baptism is our involution for evolution (rising to new life). We are immersed into the waters of life to cross the Jordan. All of us must sacrifice our beast (animal nature / ego) to stop judgment. Judge others and judge self. We ARE the Son of God (All means all).

---He is not God. He is the Son of God (Adam first and Last). Adam is the Son of God (Luke 3). We are all part of Adam (All means all). God is the Father. Jesus is the Son. Ruach is the Spirit of us all.

1 Corinthians 15

24 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27 For he “has put everything under his feet.”[c] Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. 28 When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

Do you see the division here? Yahweh's authority must be removed. Dominion must be ended. It is then handed to God the Father, who is NOT subject to the Son. We are the Son. All means All. He created us as part of the Son. Silencing Satan is ending judgment, or ending our need for law. Yahweh provided the guardianship, just as Satan took from us when we took from others. Judge others and you are literally judging your own SELF. Know thyself Son.

(ix) finally, if I commit my life to jesus/god and "accept" him as a saviour, he/they will forgive me my sins and I can escape the punishment of being in hell for eternity after I die.

I say that in the kindest way. You are the Son. So are all of us. This is why we judge not and forgive our enemy. It was us all along.

Clever on God's part.

Note my last post. Man was made on day 6. He is also remade on day 6 (today). There must be 7X7+1 for a grand Jubilee. Genesis 1 is the first week. Today, we are at the sixth day of the second week. 1 Day remains. Time ends on the eighth day of week 2. Grand Jubilee.

Genesis 6

6 When human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. 3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit will not contend with humans forever, for they are mortal; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.”

Epistle of Barnabas

Barnabas 15:3
Of the Sabbath He speaketh in the beginning of the creation; And
God made the works of His hands in six days, and He ended on the
seventh day, and rested on it, and He hallowed it.

Barnabas 15:4

Give heed, children, what this meaneth; He ended in six days. He
meaneth this, that in six thousand years the Lord shall bring all
things to an end; for the day with Him signifyeth a thousand years;
and this He himself beareth me witness, saying; Behold, the day of
the Lord shall be as a thousand years.
Therefore, children, in six
days, that is in six thousand years, everything shall come to an end.

Barnabas 15:5

And He rested on the seventh day. this He meaneth; when His Son
shall come, and shall abolish the time of the Lawless One, and shall
judge the ungodly, and shall change the sun and the moon and the
stars, then shall he truly rest on the seventh day.

Don't confuse this with the Gospel of Barnabas, which is a Muslim forgery. This is the true BOOK OF Barnabas.

One generation is 72 years, or the precession of the earth divided by 360. 25920 / 360 is 72. 1948 the fig tree blooms. 1948 + 72 is 2020. 2017 is the next grand jubilee of 50 years.

you are very brave posting this in here, you will get many and varied answers, i would suggest you find your own way of understanding the bible as most in here will confuse your path rather than help clarify it.

(i) god is omnipotent, omniscient, non-material and male (the Father);
I detect maybe an ounce of cynicism? Nevertheless, I will hazard some replies. How can you be non-material and male? The Father appeared to Moses and told Moses he could not see Him and live, so Moses was not allowed to see His face but his back parts only. No reason to tell Moses this if He is only an invisible spirit.
(ii) he created everything in the universe at the same time (probably about 6000 years ago);
Nowhere does God tell us this. He created the earth "in the beginning" but Christ was with Him before the beginning. He created the solar system. He created heaven and earth. Nor does He say He created the earth out of nothing as most assume. He moved His Spirit upon "the waters" to begin the creation.
(iii) the first two humans he created were given explicit verbal instructions by god to not eat fruit from one particular tree (all the other trees were OK);
I believe this is allegorical. I don't believe the tree of knowledge of good and evil was anymore physical than the tree of life.
(iv) the first woman disobeyed this rule and ate an apple from the forbidden tree after being beguiled from god's antithesis (Satan) who had taken the form of a talking snake;
The fruit would not have been an apple as there were no apples in the Middle East. The idea of apple probably arose in the Latin as it was the same word as for evil.
(v) the first man soon followed suit - then god found out about their sin and banished both of them from the garden
Eve represents the Church whose seed will defeat the serpent in the end. Adam really had little choice at that point but ate of the fruit for Eve's sake.
(vi) ever since then, all humans, when they are born (but assumedly not while in utero) are tainted with this "original sin"
Don't believe in the doctrine of original sin. It is unbiblical. Men suffer physical death as a result, but are otherwise not punished for Adam and Eve's sin on any afterlife basis.
(?) god has communicated with specific humans ever since - usually verbally - and many of those communications have been written into a 'holy book' which is known as 'god's word' as it is considered to have been written by god, not by humans. It is the only source of truth.
The Bible actually refers to other books it does not presently contain. It also refers to future prophecy it does not contain and therefore is not the "only source of truth."
(vii) according to god's immutable law, a human sacrifice is required to atone for these sins for all humans: that is, because Adam and Eve sinned, everyone will die unless a perfect individual is sacrificed; a person who dies without atonement for this original sin (and others) will be condemned to spend eternity in Hell after they die;
actually it may be possible for people to pay the punishment for their own sins, but a Savior who agrees to accept this punishment is another option. The Bible also does not say punishment in Hell is necessarily eternal in time although it is eternal in scope. But death and hell will give up the dead for final judgment.
(viii) that perfect individual was Jesus, who was born of a virgin about 2000 years ago, and is in fact god in human form, also known as the son of god. He performed many miracles, and when he was about 30[33] years old, we was crucified and died. Three days later he rose from the dead and now, because he is god, he returned to live with god (his father) in heaven (non-material world).
He still has a body and is expected to return in bodily form so my guess is He does not reside in inmateriality.
(ix) finally, if I commit my life to jesus/god and "accept" him as a [your]saviour, he/they will forgive me my sins and I can escape the punishment of being in hell for eternity after I die.
The process also requires repentance. Committing your life to Him involve living His law. And I do not believe everyone who has not gone through this process is necessarily doomed to hell. Many have died never having heard the gospel.
My 2 cents :)

Since you posted in Unorthodox section, hear my unorthodox answer:

The rule was a test and Eve did the right thing. The snake wasn't Satan and it wasn't a snake. The "serpent" was another woman, the first woman who came before Eve, the first wife of Adam - taken from Jewish texts.

The woman tried to save Eve. Generations later, we hear of Eve as Mary Magdalene and the "serpent" as Jesus. The two met again and this time, Jesus succeeded in saving Eve. Eve keeps coming back. Most do not recognize her but she she has always embodied true wisdom. She is the daughter Jerusalem. Adam and his god and his religion is the enemy.

Jesus did not sacrifice himself to mankind. Many of the teachings about Him from the Bible were additions/exaggerations. Jesus did what He had to do to find and guide Eve (Mary Magdalene)

Christianity is not a religion, it is the timeless love story between the Holy Spirit and Eve (and her incarnations)

We need your sources. I have studied them all, and nothing emerges from the broad territory of my studies to conclude this. I do know of Lilith, but I would still like to know what your theology is founded from as a source.

By my own view, Eve is the mind of the Son of God. His weaker nature needed to be refined in the waters of life (flood). Eve represents this refinement from Eve to Mary. When Yahweh (Ego of Adam / Ruler / Lord) prepares Joshua in Zechariah 3, he is clothing and crowning a Kinsman for union with Mary. Together, Yahweh and Mary unite again, merging the image of Adam back again. When the rib was taken from Adam, the female DNA was used for Eve. The male was used later for Mary to bring Adam back into the waters.

Yahweh (Ego of Adam). Satan (made by Yahweh / Conscious). Satan accuses. Yahweh is the adversary. Together, they are the guardians of the Son of God while here, regulating his actions.

Jesus then is made new (Yahweh ended) and the Son of God rises from the refinement. For each of us, the process continues the same. We live (born again) and die. Our mind is refined from the experience.

Check my threads on this. I outline much of it. I will also outline more of this in coming threads. Linked at the bottom signature.

The idea of Lilith is the same as the idea for our own duality. For Yahweh, there is Satan. For Lilith, there is Eve. Each member of the Trinity participates.

Adam to Abraham - 2000 years / 2 days - Age of the Father

Issac to Jesus - 2 Days - Age of the Son

Mary to ???? - 2 Days - Age of the Spirit

Who will rise next? The feminine? I believe both. I think the next incarnation will be the male/female image together in one. 1000 years of peace under the rule of the united image. Both male and female.

Since you posted in Unorthodox section, hear my unorthodox answer:

My source is not available online but from someone who is knowledgeable of the deities of ancient Egypt.

The person of Lilith was mirrored in Anput - apparently the wife of Anubis. If you can find a source of Anput, go look it up. She is the same as the Woman with Child in the Revelations which is also Lilith. These three completed the missing pieces together perfectly.

I don't have a solid theology yet. I am like a detective hunting for clues in this great love story. I am being helped by a Woman Spirit like one who is crying for justice. She is dressed up in a black gown and a black hood. Nothing scary, she is like dressed up as a Muslim woman. Yes, I've seen her and she helps me in other things too. Vincent Van Gogh the artist has seen her too.

I think the "Woman and the Child" is "metaphorical". The child is more like "children" and there's more than one of them. They tend to influence our world greatly like Vincent Van Gogh. They tend to be heavily persecuted when they are living, only to become very famous after they are dead or "gone" like Jesus too.
