One of the criteria here in this forum is to declare you agree with the Nicene Creed.

I can't grasp trinity at all, I don't deny it, I just cant say either way.

If salvation stands or falls on me declaring by faith I KNOW undefinedthat Jesus is God then I am dead.

I find it hard to think I am the only person in this christian area of this forum that feels like this, it worries me that I might be displeasing Jehovah God by ignoring the rules of this forum.

Help!!!

God is one. Jesus is God, the Holy Spirit is God, and of course the Father is God. How the dynamics of this work exactly is mind boggling; the smartest people won't be able to grasp it fully this side of Heaven. There are some divine mysteries that we don't have to figure out here on Earth, and this is just one of them. God is one, yet He comes to us in three distinct forms, it seems. I believe it has something to do with His omnipotence and omnipresence. But it is a wierd concept, I'll admit and you don't have to fully understand it to be saved, you just need to accept it.

This is still bothering you? Why does God have to be in our frame and fit only the dimensions of our understanding when the scripture says His ways are higher than ours? The Bible announces God as plural from the very beginning, and certainly He is bigger than His creation and can be three persons or nine if He wants or has the need and will for that many. What words can describe Him or what one frame can contain all that He is?

Isa 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Genesis 11:7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.

1Jo 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

Col.2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

I think the Trinity is the hardest thing to understand other eternity. I go back to what St. Patrick said. The king of Ireland could not understand the Trinity, so Patrick handed him a shamrock (not a clover, mind you, a real shamrock). He asked the king if it had three leaves or one. The king could not answer. That's the way I think of the Trinity: one God, three parts and I don't fully understand. But that's fine, I don't have to understand it, my brain is just not big enough. If I were to list all the things about God that I can't get my mind around, I'd be working on this post for the next year. That's what I like about God. He's not a product of a man-made religion. He's infinitly more than we could ever get our minds around.
