It's true.

Matthew 5:28

But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

It goes both ways. I don't like it when I'm on the receiving end of someone's lustful stare. What about you?

Let's not forget His remedy for the situation. If thine eye offend thee...

Fortunately, one of the fruits of the spirit is self-control, another is love. This is good news because it means a Christian can stop coveting and lusting as opposed to having to gouge their eyes out. I heard of a bloke who literally did that, I guess he didn't know that even a blind man can lust. He later committed suicide but that's another story.

Well, I could argue that it was meant literally, and that if you are relying on your works to be saved then it would be better to cut off your hands and pluck out your eyes to be cast into hell or what have you. But that would lead to a debate and I'm not in the mood.

Staring is rude. It tends to make women and men feel uncomfortable. Few women appreciate being stared at.
Some do.

Lady Gaga is an entertainer, but I doubt she likes it when people stare. The whole idea is for folks to be entertained by her performances. They often involve eye-catching theatrics designed to hold an audience's attention, but paying attention to a performer shouldn't be confused with staring. In fact, staring while at a concert can be a sign of boredom, perhaps indicating disinterest in what the entertainer is doing. Kind of like staring at a television set with glossy eyes vs. actually paying attention to what's on. In short, despite her flamboyant stage persona, I would be surprised if Lady Gaga appreciates being stared at. She obviously likes attention, but attention and staring aren't the same thing.

Staring? No. Glancing, smiling, and acknowledging then its fine with me. I smile back.
Staring, makes me feel uncomfortable, and Amber provided some examples of what I mean!

I agree.

I've been stared at before, and I mean a really LONG, obvious stare. But it was awful and it actually frightened me...I was so thankful to have my brother with me at the time. The man had the coldest, angriest, dirtiest look in his eyes...it was shocking. I've never forgotten it.

Oh wow, that must be scary. I am sorry.

My stories are no appropriate for cf, but I'm glad I was with people at the time and left as soon as I could.

I actually kinda wanna see the Miss Spaulding death stare :D

Think so? Lol...think again.

I recently gave a guy the death stare while out with my 15-yr-old niece. He totally began checking her out, and buddy he stopped as soon as I stopped in my tracks, looked him in the eye and went, "Seriously, dude?".

Divorced
-looks at you and smiles-
-looks away briefly-
-looks again and a serious face comes on my face-

One very talented and very attractive lady was once doing that in my direction at church. After church, while still inside the church building,I asked her out for lunch. She said that she would love to go out for luch with me after church someday. But,she asked me,"Will your wife be comming also?"

She did not know that I was divorced. If I was still married, there was NO WAY that I would have asked her out, especially not at church. After I told her that I was divorced, she did not want to go out to lunch with me. She also stopped "making eyes" at me while we were in church.

I was so confused. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around? When I was married, she would say hello to me by giving me a hug. Now that I am free, she will not come anywhere near me.

Later on that same year, during dress rehearsal, she ran passed me to hug this other actor. The other actor goes to our church. He is......MARRIED!

That is when the "light bulb" came on. She only flirts with married men.
