Science is about trying to understand our physical world and how it works based on observation and logic. Make no mistake about this my friend, like any other human endeavor, science can be perverted by greed and power and PROFIT. That is not a problem with science itself, it is a human problem. Your scapegoat is not science --- it is human nature itself.
The world is full of crazy monkeys and monkeys with an appalling and cruel history. Your trying to tell me that the scientific pursuit is somehow, just about understanding the universe?

So tell me how many people enroll in cosmology at university? Given that we strangely want to know more about the universe.

I thought business, economics, and say legal studies were the major disciplines at Universities around the world.

We are not on the same page here.

Think home renovation, soap operas, travel, social media, wealth accumulation. Now we are on the same page, I need to correct that erroneous idea that anyone seriously cares about the universe.

Do you honestly believe that the general public is interested in sub atomic physics, or the theoretical study of black hole horizons?

Are you serious?

FYI, when people talk about understanding the universe, it's a catch-all for understanding everything in it (e.g. Earth, life, etc.).

Linking weapons and GM foods is an unlikely and unfortunate association if only in their objectives. Humanity has been in the business of genetically modifying foods for ten thousand years or more. There is hardly a foodstuff in any marketplace that has not been genetically modified and that is a very good thing because without it we could not even feed ourselves.
Are you talking about the real food, i.e. fast foods, the real food we all eat. That food also includes all the chemically produced chips, confectionery, the deserts, the chocolate, e.t.c.

Or are you talking about some genetic modification to some type of carrot that no one wants to eat?

Is this conversation based in the real world or some hypothetical world?

Thanks for that.

I still struggle to understand the mathematics that the theory of relativity is based upon. I have not caught up yet.

One of the problems we face is the sheer and brutal complexity of this advancing science. Not sure if anyone is really on top of the game anymore as the knowledge base is vast.

Yes.

Very few -- given that cosmology is a highly specialized field. Not many enroll in brain surgery either.

I thought business, economics, and say legal studies were the major disciplines at Universities around the world.

They are among the major disciplines along with mathematics, the sciences and engineering.

We are not on the same page here.

I noticed that too. you are on the wrong page.

Think home renovation, soap operas, travel, social media, wealth accumulation. Now we are on the same page, I need to correct that erroneous idea that anyone seriously cares about the universe.

Anyone?

Do you honestly believe that the general public is interested in sub atomic physics, or the theoretical study of black hole horizons?

They are so interested that they feel qualified to dispute the conclusions of people who are far better qualified.

Are you serious?

Extremely.

Per the title.

And if the answer is yes, how do creationists critically examine their own ideas?

I think for an honest discussion, we need to see what people think "critically examine" means, both creationists and non-creationists.

I still feel compelled to ask:

What's to examine?

God said it, that settles it.

I am talking about bit all --- ALL!. Did you know that farmers in Greece started to genetically modify wild mustard plants about 2600 years ago? They came up with broccoli and cauliflower. Wild maize was originally about 3 inches long. American Indians and later European colonists genetically modified into what it is today. We can examine one plant and animal at a time and it it is all GM.

I was in the market yesterday and I did notice wild caught salmon and wild picked fiddleheads. Maybe the only products of thousands that were not GM.
What does "GM" mean?

Right. You'll have to help me out here. Could you point me to the part of your post where you demonstrate that creationists critically examine their ideas? Or, if that wasn't your aim, point me to the part of the post where you demonstrate that creationists don't critically examine their ideas.
My point was to demonstrate that creationists are wrong because we are animals, according to the Bible.

Are the angels animals? how is it they were able to circumvent biological evolution?

No, angels do not have earthly bodies, they are spirits.
Spirits are persons.

In fact, the Holy Spirit is called the Third Person of the Godhead.
