That is true. I used to routinely go to a weekday service at the local Episcopal cathedral many years ago, and once they were reading from Sirach as the Old Testament lesson.

Indeed on the feast of St. Luke the Evangelist, the pericope “Honor a physician” is read.

If it was a Eucharist, that was probably the occasion. However it is read on other occasions for evensong and mattins.
