It's funny: There are a lot of animals in Revelations. Maybe...

Animals have a lot of significance in the Word, because of sacrifices, not eating stuff... I'd like to think God's beauty returns to His comfort after its sparks fade from earth.

God Bless!

Thats a great thought! Yes that is true! And also, why would God allow His creatures to be killed as sacrifices unless there was some sacrifice there? And I am sure He wouldn't let them be killed in such a way if they only had this life. He isn't mean like that! I think He brings them home :)

Because my dog just died and I was wondering if she is just dead or some where else. Just wondering if the bible said any thing about this?? God Bless.
Eccl 3:19-21 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity. 20 All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again. 21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

BUT, there seems to be so many verses which indicate "animals in heaven", that I could not be dogmatic about it. Whether those references are only symbolic, I do not know for certain.

The important thing to ask yourself is "Who is YOUR FIRST LOVE?" If it is Christ, then He will give you solice over your loss, and we know that one day when we go to be with Him, all our sorrows will be forever gone. So I would say, to just trust Jesus, that whether or not our pets are there, it makes no difference since HE is the focal point of our attention.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

"Do animals have Souls?"

The word for "soul" in the Old Testament is nephesh.
In the New Testament the word for "soul" is psuche.

"Whatsoever Adam called every living creature (nephesh, psuche), that was the name thereof" (Gen. 2:19). [Animals are "souls."]

"And with every living creature (nephesh, psuche) that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth" (Gen. 9:10). [Animals are "souls."]

"And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature (nephesh, psuche) that is with you, for perpetual generations" (Gen. 9:12). [Animals are "souls."]

"And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature (nephesh, psuche) of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature (nephesh, psuche) of all flesh that is upon the earth" (Gen. 9:15, 16). [Animals are "souls."]

"And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing (nephesh, psuche) which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you" (Lev. 11:10). [Animals are "souls."]

"This is the law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature (nephesh, psuche) that moveth in the waters, and of every creature (nephesh, psuche) that creepeth upon the earth" (Lev. 11:46). [Animals are "souls."]

"And he that killeth a beast shall make it good; beast (nephesh, psuche) for beast (psuche)" (Lev. 24:18). [Animals are "souls."]

"Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life (nephesh, psuche)" (Prov. 7:23). [Traps for birds are designed to catch the bird's "soul."]

"A righteous man regardeth the life (nephesh, psuche) of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel" (Prov. 12:10). [Christians will take care of their animal's "soul."]

"And they shall be broken in the purposes thereof, all that make sluices and ponds for fish (nephesh, psuche)" (Isa. 19:10). [Fish are "souls."]

"And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul (psuche) died in the sea" (Rev. 16:3). [Fish are "souls."]

No, animals do not have souls. Animals ARE souls. However, they are never said to be resurrected to eternal life in the Bible.

There are parts of Leviticus that say alot about animals. Specifically chapter 17.

I cannot remember where, I'm sorry, but there seems to be a place in the Old Testament that speaks of animals killing their own kind and the punishment for it. I really cannot remember where. That may imply something.

Psa 36:6 Your righteousness is like the mountains of God. Your judgments are like a great deep. Yahweh, you preserve man and animal.

Pro 12:10 A righteous man regards the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.

Ecc 3:19 For that which happens to the sons of men happens to animals. Even one thing happens to them. As the one dies, so the other dies. Yes, they have all one breath; and man has no advantage over the animals: for all is vanity.
Ecc 3:20 All go to one place. All are from the dust, and all turn to dust again.
Ecc 3:21 Who knows the spirit of man, whether it goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, whether it goes downward to the earth?"
