The old carnal nature has to be crucified so that it is no longer sin controlling us but the nature of Christ and the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Even “amongst and against one another” (Cambridge), if the Christian is filled with thanksgiving then most will also rejoice, but if a besetting problem comes to a head, then reactions become much more a concern for support.

The body of Christ is on a full spectrum of growth and ability, most all of us working out our salvation with fear. How heavy and how deep or dark the spectrum also has some in attendance. 99% of these are in need of just such support.

Idk about that one but I Thess 5:18 says to give thanks in all things. It's a challenge and takes a different mindset for me. Application: to help someone, cleaned their walls including a kid's bedroom which took 6 magic erasers wearing a hot mask. Didn't do much thanking but see now where it was lost opportunities. Could have thanked Him that the child was imaginative, able to draw, etc. Thanking Him today that I was able to do it and feel my aching arms.
