Such has NEVER happened.
If they ended up with God I will say, VERY GLAD TO SEE YOU!
Ducky, how many dead corpses of faithful spouses who were killed do we have to show you? Wanna see the obituaries, Ducky? Up for a graveside visit?
Is pretty much all you're saying.
People, don't stay with an abusive spouse, and don't feel you need to live a life of loneliness if you do leave. If you believe in a merciful God I'm sure he'll forgive you for making the mistake of marrying the wrong man or woman and will give you a chance to make up for it. Don't blindly take anyone's advice, neither Ducky's nor my own, but measure it by it's own merit and reason. Ducky would have you obey a strict interpretation of the law for no other reason then because he says so. Other, more reasonable Christians have presented perfectly valid points that even I can't disagree with, despite the fact we would disagree on just about everything else.
Also, don't stay because it's quite possible you could end up dead. That's a good reason to leave in and of itself.
Hey Ducky? 1 Corinthians 7:10-15
10And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:
11But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.
12But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.
13And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
14For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
15But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.
