I thought I'd share these stories my dad told me. I'm not a christian but have a belief in a creator. Thought I should share these.
To give a quick backstory...my mom was a heavy alcoholic, my dad drank too but mostly to keep her home and happy. He worked out in camp some times she stayed home with us kids.
Anyways there would be times he would come back and she'd be out at the bars drunk with some other guys or whatever, you know.
Anyways this was a heavy stress on my dad and he at times drove drunk in a rage trying to find her. I guess he got put in overnight for driving impaired.
He said he had a vision while in his cell while he was reading a bible or something of a giant hand reached down and turned the page to some part in the bible about taking your kids hand in hand to church? I have no idea what he'd be referencing in the bible.
His other experience was he was out working in camp as his job was a faller, cutting trees you know. Anyhow he was sitting down at lunch and began to feel incredible guilt because to get that job he had to undercut another guy but he needed to feed his family.
Not only that but he felt bad for other things and stressed about my mom and then he said all of a sudden this warm energy started at his feet and slowly moved up his body. He said it got up to his chest and was so intense he was in tears and told it to stop.
At that point I think previously he had gotten a bit into AA Alcoholics anonymous so he learned a bit about his higher power and whatever they teach there.
Anyways thought I'd share that for whoever needs to hear it.. He's not the kind of person to make up fantastic stories.
