  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I've been told this... but is it true?

BTW, I am dispenstionalist and charismatic... Just wondering if I'm trying to touch to north poles together... ^_^ Make that 3... I lean toward the Calvinist side too!

No, a dispensation doesn't equal cessation. I don't see how those who do equate them can defend it from Scripture. I'm a cessationist, but the arguments for/against it are outside the realm of dispensationalism.

A dispensational charismatic Calvinist is a bit unusual but definitely not incongruous. There are many pentecostals who are also dispensationalists. Wayne Grudem the author is Calvinist and charismatic.

Dr Martyn Lloyd-Jones was no cessationist and was an anointed Preacher of the One Gospel -he just happened to be reformed, but He did not preach "Calvin" under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, but "Jesus Christ and Him crucified".

And likewise being "dispensational" is quite a big tent as well. Many folks are dispensational, and they don't even know it... ;)
I didn't know I was Calvinist until I started in Wayne Grudem's book... ^_^

How about 'just short of pentecostal'...

And you certainly can fit a lot of short pentecostals in a charismatic big tent...;)
