Are Baha'i Christian?
No, we are not. We do not follow Jesus, we follow Someone else. We do not base our beliefs on the Bible, we have our own Scriptures.
this is all in good intentions
I would suppose anyone who is trying to keep me from going to Hell for all eternity has good intentions when they tell me to change my beliefs, yes. :D

Baha'is believe that Baha'ulah is the Holy Spirit, which is blasphemy.
Setting aside any complicated discussions about whether Baha'u'llah is, or is not, the Holy Spirit, please remember that claims Jesus made about Himself, and claims His followers have made about Him, have been regarded as blasphemy. Those accusers were wrong, weren't they?

I agree with you that you are not Christian, but doesn't your relgion tell you to believe Christ is a messanger, and all of the revelations of the Bible were true to that time in history, therefor, your religion should be in agreement with what Christ said correct?

There is only one God, one Spirit and it is the God of Israel who manifested himself to the world in the Son
The Holy Spirit was poured out on the Day of Pentecost as prophesied by the prophet Joel..
This is recorded in Acts 2 of the Bible, so it is not possible for Bah'lu'lah to be God.

1. We Baha'is believe God has also manifested Himself in Baha'u'llah.
2. We believe God has done more than what is recorded in the Bible.
3. Baha'u'llah clearly and firmly denied being God. His claim is that God speaks to all humanity through Him.

I hope skeptical doesn't mind if I step in for a minute.

But what he's been talking about Christians doging his questions and not giving sufficient answers is basically what you are doing Ronnee.

Several times, the questions have been asked, so far no attempt to use logic or any faculty of perception has been used to attempt to falsify said questions.

As always, the same annoying rebuttal is:

Jesus Christ is your savior, God, who dies for your sins. Accept him or burn in hell, the bible alludes ONLY the Jesus and no other prophet ever, throughout history. So have faith.

This is what I have delt with before, and what I suspect skeptical speaks of.

So that won't work.

Furthermore, your statement shows your ignorance of Baha'i concepts. Baha'u'llah never claimed to be God. The manifestations are entirely separate from God. Furthermore, he and the Bab are NOT the holy spirit in the sense your thinking they are. If you read some of his writings you will understand. He recognized the need to be brief and precise, and not beat around the bush like most religious literature.

I have discussed with Baha'i's and they most certainly
do believe

that Baha'lu'lah is the Holy Spirit, which Christians
know the Holy Spirit is
God, so it follow
that Baha'luahs claims to be God.

You are the one who is showing ignorance.

Urgh.

Here's a popular metaphor Baha'u'llah(?) liked to use.

Baha'u'llah was a MAN. But he was a human of pure and righteous heart, like a mirror. The sun (the splendor of God) shines on the mirror (Baha'u'llah) and its glory is reflected in the mirror. Does the sun descend and dwell within the mirror?

No.

The light that shines and reflects in the mirror is the holy spirit which speaks the will of God through the vessel of Baha'u'llah.

This is what the dozens of Baha'i's I have met with have said, what I have read, and what I have heard.

Baha'u'llah is not God.

FURTHERMORE, your using your own Christian dogma and conceptions in the attempt to understand the concepts of the Baha'i World Faith. This is about as rediculous as using the theological concepts of Orthodox Christianity to understand Orthodox Judaism.

Something the Baha'i's from KC said if I remember correctly, is that the Holy Spirit is OF God, but is NOT God. So, with that logic, Baha'u'llah is still not God.

The Church and the Kingdom are NOT the same (see D&C sec. 65). We invite you to discover the Holy Spirit of Promise: BAHA'U'LLAH ("Baha-oo-lah"). He is the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Ghost Incarnate; the Holy Spirit of Promise come to seal the Elect unto Eternal Life.

This is from a Baha'i site

This is from a Baha'i site
Which Baha'i site?

I'm guessing that "D&C" is Doctrine and Covenants, which is a Mormon book, not a Baha'i book.
