A choice to be set free to become sons of God.

So, when you are fallen and depraved God gave you a choice to whether to remain fallen and depraved and, though God was your enemy, you believe God put a choice before your fallen and depraved nature to choose to serve God?

Where in the Bible does it say salvation is a choice?  And please, don't clutter this issue with Deuteronomy 30:19 because that's not what that verse means.

God bless

So then, you are hyper-Calvinist and believe no choices are made?
One is bound by sin and old nature to not choose God, but once set free from bondage to the old, can then choose right up to the point of trembling in fear that they had trampled underneath their feet the blood of the Lord and there no longer remained a sacrifice for them. Otherwise, why strive with the flesh and try to become a vessel more suitable for use as in Tim 2:21.

Absolutely not.  Just so I know, do you understand what a "hyper-Calvinist" is?

One is bound by sin and old nature to not choose God, but once set free from bondage to the old, can then choose right up to the point of trembling in fear that they had trampled underneath their feet the blood of the Lord and there no longer remained a sacrifice for them.

I have no clue what you're saying here.

Otherwise, why strive with the flesh and try to become a vessel more suitable for use as in Tim 2:21.

Again, no clue what you're asking here.

I do have a question for you.  Do you believe that John Calvin's beliefs are an accurate representation of the Gospel?

God bless

Don,
You're better off this way. I saw a debate coming that was similar to the merry go round we often get in to.

As I did with another thread in this forum quite recently, just throw your hands in the air and wave em like you just don't care.

Apparently, the truth is an outdated concept. Concerning this; I have a feeling that we are on the right track because we are a minority. The majority opinion is rarely truthful. Know what I mean?

Just in case it was unclear, I most definitely think that it was foreordained.  I don't believe that anything happens "by chance."

As a side note, who is 1Pete?  I don't see his post here?

God bless

Thanks for that laugh Ref.  :D

I believe 1Pete too--does that make me a Calvinist?
:)
