discouraged?

hey all,
im simply asking everybody to pray for me, because i feel a bit discouraged studying the Bible. i know there is one absolute truth to it all, definately, but with all the debates and views and denomination splits and seemingly paradoxes, i find myself getting more discouraged about studying the Bible. im still going to, and struggle through it, but i just dont want to get discouraged or down or confused about it all. pray that God will strengthen me and guide me and motivate me to finding the truth about complex spiritual matters - and that in everything i wont forget the two most important things - loving God, and loving everybody as myself.

I pray God will grant you a deeper understanding of his word.

I also offer this advice, I'm not sure if you have the bible from beginning to end yet or not. But just in case you haven't, or maybe someone else reading this hasn't, I say...

Don't just study the Bible. Instead just read it, from beginning to end. Each time you open the Bible, pray for wisdom, and understanding. Let God be your guide, and teacher, pray for him to do this, and he will. Let him guide you through the pages from the beginning of time, from the very start of his creations. I never realy understood much, or stood very strong in my faith untill I did this. I think it's the greatest way to grow closer to God, strengthen our faith, and give us a much deeper understanding of his word.
