I have no doubt that the man was - as it is written - a man after God's own heart. Even if some translation is required to make sense of that statement.
The difficulty that I run into, tho, is whenever the man is held up as a model for worship, or attitude towards God. I simply don't react that way. I'm wondering to what degree Asperger's tendencies might be responsible for this, and to what degree it comes down to different temperament types.
