Nothing that pertains to disciplining your wife, yes. None of the verses in either link pertain to physically disciplining a wife.

I think in general with people you have to demand respect. I will not be disrespected by anyone at all. The fact is I think to many men in today's world are weak and allow themselves to be ran over by their wives. I don't think that men need to discipline women I think weak men need to discipline women. A strong man needs only his presences and how he carries himself to gain respect. If you have to discipline your wife for respect it turns from her being disrespectful to how are you as a man? What do you need to change about yourself? If your wife disrespects you other people are disrespecting you also.

I would suggest listening to some of Mark Driscolls sermons he talks about the roles of marriage a lot and he breaks it down so that it is easy to understand. I can tell you that my husband and I practice Biblical marriage, but I am no housewife!
