dinosaurs?

anybody know what happened to them? were they to big for Noahs cruise ship?

What happened to them? Well, many are extinct (not all. Just a bunch...so we think, anyway). No, they were not too big for the ark. There are actually people who will swear that there are dinosaurs alive and well in various places on earth (including pterodactyls (that's all I can remember for now) and even species we did not know existed).

so if the dinosaurs were around before the flood...then why weren't they mentioned at all in the bible? just an example here but "Adam and Eve's 15th daughter Evette was picked up by a teradactile (sp) and never seen again"
you think dinosaurs being as large as they were would have gotten some kind of mention in the bible.

Job. Leviathan and Behemoth. Ignore the commentaries that say that they are hippoes and crocodiles. They don't fit the descriptions given in Job.

eats grass
strength in hips (and belly)
tail like a cedar (an enormous tree)
powerful bones
the biggest of the "works of God"
drinks immense amounts of water
(He had a sword taken to him, ie was made extinct by God)

actually do elephants even eat grass? they dont do they? i know large dinosaurs didn't as their bone structure wouldn't allow them to. i assume you mean like a long-necked dinosaur? - i dont mean to debate, just asking another quetsion really.

Look at the tail of an elephant. Or a mammoth. More like twigs than "cedars". Sounds more like a Bracheosaur (the largest animal).

Sounds like a dragon that lived in the water.

Human remains are not found anywhere NEAR dinosaur bones.

You are asking me? I will answer. God did not use evolution to create. God made birds on the fifth day. Dinosaurs were on the sixth day. Evolution says lizards before birds. The Bible says birds were created before lizards.

i read most of answersingenisis about dinosaurs, and i agree that most evolutionary theory is speculative and doesn't make any sense, and i was completely drawn into the evidence presented that dinosaurs and men lived together, until i was reading about the flood;"most evolutionists see the fossil record as a scale of time, rather than the order of which the dinosaurs fell to the bottom of the ocean". i had a problem with this: if it happened all at once (which is possible, as volcanic rock created after an eruption was immediately tested and dated to be about 10000 years old - when it was only weeks) if it happened all at once - why are some species at the bottom, some at the top, some at the middle, some throughout? why arn't they all just randomly scattered around? they seem to be vaguely ordered in the fossil record?

Drown some animals (or find some dead ones). Some will sink faster than others. That is all.

yes, almost always the heavy ones. but the fossil record shows ALL the heavy ones are ABOVE the small ones.

No, not exactly "heavy vs. light" or "big vs little". It has to do with chemical compositions. Some animals "bloat" and produce gases that will float sooner than others when dead. I can't explain it much more than that. I am not a chemist or a biologist.

You must keep in mind that god has much experience in these matters, more so than us humans.

God spoke to Moses frequently, as he was the chosen one for that time and for that world. Moses wrote what was said to him by god. It is also written that one day would be as a thousand years or a thousand years can be as one to god. Maybe god said a million to Moses and Moses says to god, but god the children of Israel will not understand such a number, so one thousand was written.

Moses did this with god at other times. For instance, when the children of Israel constructed a cow in the image of the Egyptian god and worshipped it. Moses came down with the commandments on the tablets of stone that god wrote with his finger. Moses destroyed them in anger when he saw what they had done. When Moses went back to speak with god, god told Moses to prepare for those to be killed by my hand who worship other gods than i, for i am a jealous god. Moses said to god, why have you saved the children from slavery of the Egyptians to only bring them into the wilderness to be killed by their god?

and god said so be it then Moses, i will spare their lives.

but then when Moses returned to the camp from the mountain, these that god would have destroyed were sinning. So Moses rounded up a few from another tribe and had those that had been sinning executed in their tents.

God was going to kill them, but Moses asked god not to, but if god had, the sins would not have happened, i believe Moses realized his error.

The point is that the message of truth is in these pages.

What is written is that, when god created man, he saw that it was good.

What is not written is that when god created, some other creatures, god obviously said that it was bad and destroyed them.

Yes, the dinosaurs were intelligent, but they were bad.

In the old testament there is a story of the children of Israel after they left Mt. Sinai and began to take the land of their inheritance, by the blessing of god, that there were other creatures. There is mention of dragons and unicorns, and of sorcerers, and it is written that to practice sorcery is forbidden by god. There is mention of a tribe of giants four times the size humans.

What is important to remember is that god created all life, god loves us and as long as we love god and understand that Jesus or yeshua, however you say it, died to forgive our sins, we will all be with the angels within the kingdom of heaven.

and the mention of dragons i believe is in genesis, when the tongue of the serpent is compared to that of a dragon.

In..... deutronomy? the horns of a creature is compared to that of a unicorn, it's written towards the end of the chapter, right at the end.

and this is written thousands of years before castles were built in Europe.
