Differences in age.....

I agree we do see things differently re: the short stick convo.

And as far as a relationship. I don't want someone that I only see on weekends. More like someone that might be gone for a week and home for 2 or IDK but not just weekends. That wouldn't even work for me because I usually work on Saturdays at my second job so....plus if I ain't married, I ain't sleeping with ya, so....but that's just me

So I've been seeing a lady since back in Feb. We are very attracted to each other. We have fairly often swapped massages. I might have mentioned that she does sound therapy. Anyways we were talking last night and I asked her if she had figured out my age yet. She hadn't. So I told her, she is 47. She hadn't thought a lot about it I guess, but figured I didn't look as old as I am. Will be interesting if this changes our relationship any.

Well, it doesn't look like the age difference is going to effect my relationship with "L" as she wanted to get together tonight. But I already had a commitment to to attend this week's meeting of Divorce Care. Its interesting how this class is smaller, yet a few of us from the last class are coming and how it is helping as there just isn't a place to talked about divorce.

Then there is the lady I meet on the cruise, "B". She is flying in to see me this weekend. Pretty craze in my mind, but its what she wanted so we will go for it and have a good time. She is "54". Since this thread is about age differences .... lol

The wonderful thing about being a Christian is that we can pray to our heavenly Father and he will guide us and show us which relationships to enter into.The thing is we often don't want to listen and need to develop listening in our prayer life.
From personal experience a large age gap didn't work for me as people change as they grow older . I believe we have more in common in life`s experiences with the people of similar age groups

I also believe that God allows us to chose our marriage partner but he can if we ask him bring someone across our path.

If you are having doubts then you should ask yourself why and examine your doubts and if you do not have peace do not enter into a relationship with that person
God hates divorce and too many Christians treat marriage as not for life just like non Christians as divorce is very easy

Ya, karene, 5 or more years means the two people of a lot of different experiences. I also agree that age changes us. It amazes me how many comments about age seem to ignore this truth.

As for marriage, at this time in my life I don't plan to get married again.

Sorry, haven't even though to look back here in a while. As usual, God loves to do things in unexpected ways. Not long after I made this post, when I was praying and asking what to do, another woman that I had previously been talking to got back in contact with me. A few amazing months, and a lot of interesting "coincidences" later, we will be getting married March 22nd of next year
