For this native English speaker who doesn't speak American - please would you explain the terms 'SJW' and 'based chads' ?

So, the implication could be that they’re more concerned with a political correctness rather than a religious one; it could also just be referring to a general predominance in liberal ideologies.

SJW is an acronym for Social Justice Warrior which is a term for people who "express or promote more socially progressive views".

As for "based chads" I think the closest thing would be an alpha male who doesn't care what others think about them, or their opinion.

Not quite. In Orthodoxy, we christianized the term, so a based chad is someone like Jesus Christ, Fr. Josiah Trenham or Seraphim Rose.

I remember one of the car commercials had a car that had won some sort of award and they said "it took us a while to decided which car to award because we had our own chad problem here" and it flashed over to a group of women counting votes, nearing the end, when suddenly a guy runs into the room randomly screaming, runs out, and the women say "dang it Chad!" Then started a recount.

Is there a reason why the Greeks may be SJW, or is this from personal experience?

I think it has to do with the cultural development. When Greeks get caught up in the world they still tend to maintain their local parishes as a cultural center. Slavs haven't had that cohesion. As individuals they, by my observation, tend to just quit church instead of reforming it. It is by no means a definite way of defining each Greek parish. There are "base" Greeks. Their Bishop, may God have mercy, has done much to swing them to the SJW side of things.

Evangelos, formerly of New Jersey, has visited OCF groups and chastised the Greek-Americans for wasting their time with OCF and not spending enough time learning Greek dancing. It also doesn't help that they've created what's basically a cult of personality around the archbishop while barely mentioning that there are other bishops.

The fact that GOARCH's website mentions little non-Greek American Orthodox history and no longer has Iakovos as a former heirarch is quite telling. He encouraged English saying that if they don't change than their children and grandchildren will leave Orthodoxy. Sure enough he was right.
