That's how I see it used most often, anyway.
Are there nuances to terms describing immoral actions, or they mean the same thing? Sometimes people say ugly to describe a person's actions, sometimes the term sordid is used.

Depraved seems to have the same sort of meaning as ugly or sordid in my view.
Doesn't it generally mean crazy though?
Looking at the definition of sordid that means morally ignoble or meanly selfish, which is different from depraved, which I think it would be accurate to more describe "depraved" as "twisted" rather than "crazy". Crazy is kind of a loose term.
Is wickedness and depravity the same as evil?
So you think the difference between sin and evil is the knowledge of what is right and wrong?
...well, that is the English language isn't it? So many words to translate to give the flavour of the original meaning. The Amplified Bible does a very good job. What do you think the purpose is for having so many terms for what is immoral?
The intention is evil as I see it, Satan is evil, knowingly acting in an evil manner.
Sin is very often a weakness, listening to the voice of Satan and not recognizing it. Perhaps becoming angry and resentful and then regretting it. Not staying close to the Lord in Bible reading and prayer can leave a person open to attack, or being in a stressful situation.
And again, Peter denied Jesus three times, related in the gospel, but he was caught off gaurd by fear and was distraught afterwards when he realized what he had done.

Such an interesting thread, Superhero Sam, it is good to think and sort out these things.
That's similar to how I see it. If someone does something that's considered to be a sin, but they don't know it's a sin, and it isn't deliberate malicious intent to damage or harm, then it's not evil but still apparently a sin. Like eating pork or shellfish, apparently.
What do you think the difference between evil and sinister is?
Evil more specifically related to malicious intent, while sinister is more something that looks unsettling or creepy.
So sinister is a form of evil that makes another person feel creeped out?
Evil is synonymous with sin and depravity and immorality, because it is the embodiment of all this and more.
Do you believe all sins are not equal?

Do you agree with this article?
"All Sins are Equal in God's Sight" . . . And Other Stupid Statements
No I don't care how stupid they think Christians are.
Generally, we think of sin as less than evil, yet evil still being sin, yet evil greater than sin, yet sin still wrong, and so it is...Do they refer to different degrees or aspects of immorality?

God Bless!
Only what the person decides or makes for themselves to be... One person may view all sin, evil and wickedness equally, this will be very few, and "so it is" for them, while others will see it in lesser or greater degree's but still wrong, and "so it is" for them... For both are agreeing with God... It will not be "not wrong" if God says it's wrong, and you don't think it is, in that case, it will not be "your way" but "God's way"...Are you saying there is no nuance between calling behavior evil, sinful, wicked, ugly?
