I am not overweight at all, but I am trying to get cut by working out and eating better. But Im not really sure what exactly I should be eating for this. Ive done internet searches, but anything of value seems to cost money. Any advise?

I do Cardio everyday, and weights twice a week.

lift less weight if you have to BUT use proper form to isolate muscles. And do a minimum of 12-15 reps per set.
This will not help one to get "cut". A lean body is made up of a proper diet. Cardio and weight training will also add to good body composition in tandem with a proper diet. It doesn't matter what rep range one uses in their weight training. The muscles must be overloaded to get a growth response whether doing 6 or 20 reps.

If a person is lacking good form due to too much weight, then they should use a lighter weight. Generally speaking, 6-8 reps./set builds strength and 10-15 reps./set builds endurance (and strength). In my opinion, if you can lift the weight 20 x then you should pick up a heavier weight. 2 sets with a goal - 8 -15 reps., second set should fail before complete. Ex. 2 sets of 12 reps. @ 15 lbs. First set complete, second set failure @ 7. GREAT, keep on working (weeks, months) till you complete the 2 sets and then VOILA, pick up more weight!
Impose a demand and your muscles will adapt/respond. They can't help it, thats what ROCKS about fitness! Great post 2B, you are correct re. developing body composition! God Bless, J, you guys are all very groovy ;)

Ok, someone tell this person what is the proper diet. And by the way, diet is important, but lowering fat intake is not the answer. It's lowering bad saturated, hydrogenated, and trans fats; Obtaining a certain amount of protein at each meal; lowering kilojoule intake (mainly through carbs); Occasionally being able to eat how YOU feel; And sculpting the muscles through weight training and moderate cardio.

Sors-

Sorry from swaying from your original question. You have to work pretty hard to bulk up. Over-feeding and working hard with weights. If you eat a well balanced diet (avoid sugar) with proteins (30%), complex carbs (40%) and good fats (30%) all washed down with plenty of water, you should do fine. It sounds like you already have the exercise part taken care of! Try not to deny yourself of (quality) food for the sake of fat loss. Eat properly to feed those hard working muscles - they'll help burn fat as well. Maybe try to eat 5-6 smaller meals throughout the day to keep your blood sugar steady. God Bless.

Post up your stats (age, height, weight ect) and I’ll hook you up

Basically with a good diet you want to eat around 6 small sized meals a day. Foods like baked chicken, Tuna, healthy lean meats, and lots of vegetables.

Its takes a lot of energy to digest greens, so you want the majority of your meals to be veggies. (Broccoli, salad, string beans ect.)

Stay away from starches, fruits, sugars, juices. Pretty much anything that tastes good
