  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

What if i die soon and I havn't realy done anything or generaly been any use what soever? what should i do?

There is a book called "Preparation for death" by St. Alphonius.. It is one of themost powerful books Ive read as far as preparing for that time that everyone must go through..

If you know you are dying you should start soul searching NOW. Don't do it right at the last time, be prepared for it. If you are not prepared you will be in great anguish. First review your whole life, get a piece of paper and write down all the sins you can remember that you have done in your whole life. It will take a few days, but if something comes up write that down also. Then review your list and concentrate on having contrition(sorrow for you sins) that you have done. Realize that every sin you have commited has brought you farther away from God.. If you are in a hospital ask for a priest(or pastor) to talk with. Make a confession and talk with the pastor or priest as you confess your problems and how you feel..

Don't not concentrate on the outer world. So many people are so obsessed with worldly things that even in their death beds they cannot stop thinking about them. It is a good chance that this is a sign of reprobation. Concentrate only on the spiritual. God, Jesus, and heaven. Read the lives of the saints. Like I had said earlier St. Alphonius writes extremely good books on preparing for the afterlife.. they are invaluable and I would recommend them to everyone who may think they might be dying..

Y'know, something else that occurs to me, after reading the points about doing something when you feel like this - I've come to a place in my life where something that gives me meaning during a Dark Teatime of the Soul* is to help other people or dedicate some time to a worthy cause - that is - go do a little volunteer work. Spend an afternoon helping at a food bank or soup kitchen, read stories to the blind, something like that. Even a few hours here or there can have a positive impact on the quality of life of others, and impart a sense of meaning to your own.

Maybe that wouldn't be something you'd find useful, but I figured I'd offer the suggestion anyway.
