This has been a fascinating thread. I'm glad it was revived. I'm shocked to hear of Aron-Ra's banishment: this makes me, and no doubt others, yet more fearful of speaking our minds, even politely.

Wow. I wonder what CF rule they're claiming that violates. I also wonder if they realize how poorly actions like that reflect on Christianity in general.

They said he violated the rule about insulting people by saying that creationists were willfully ignorant and rely on falsehoods based on misrepresented data.

The mod also told him he was arrogant to claim to know things beyond a shadow of a doubt about origins. He said he could back up what he is claiming about origins.

But he was still banished for a month.

I never actually expected Aron to reply however (although he's welcome to, of course). He did say he was done. I'm just trying to get through his final posts - mostly for my own benefit (I've learned a lot by looking into all this stuff) but also because if the topic comes up again in another thread I'd like to be able to refer people here.

He says he already answered your assertions and doesn't want to rehash the old arguments.

But I will say that you are one of the few I have seen go point for point with him. Most are overwhelmed by the amount of data he posts.

HOW TO READ TEA LEAVES
Take a teaspoon of loose tea leaves and stir them into a light-colored, flat-bottomed teacup filled with hot water. Drink the tea, avoiding as many of the leaves as possible, and leave a small amount behind. Swish the remaining tea in the cup counterclockwise three times while waving your hand over the top and looking generally ominous. Turn the cup over onto the saucer so that the leftover tea drips out. Check out your cup. The leaves left behind will have clumped together into different semi-shapes. Clumps near the bottom of the cup foretell events in the distant future, whereas those near the lip are closer to the present.
