  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Did you know that in the two years I've lived in the mid west, despite all my best efforts, I still don't have any friends/friendly aquaintences? I've tried. And people will flat out look through me instead of at me, and not a one will return a greeting of Good Morning.

I sware I wonder if I'm dead! (you know how you see ghosts on television or something that continue to talk to people as if they didn't know they were dead and just thought people were rude because no one ever acknowledged them?)

I'm having a really hard time being treated like I'm invisable here.

Even at church. People will not return a smile, a friendly Hello, a Good morning, nothing. They talk to my husband, they talk to each other, but they will not ever talk to me. Ever!

I don't understand. What am I doing wrong?

Maybe I am dead.
