CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yes, very near Wisconsin. I'm about 15 miles from the southern tip of Lake Michigan in Northern Indiana. We moved here from Southern California. And I reasearched areas for where I wanted us to live first. I checked crime level, population growth, middle income, schools of course, % of high school graduates to go to college, prices of housing, sizes for the price, amount of land lots, looked at pictures, loved the way it looked, so green, and pretty. The thing is though, there are no statistics on social skills or friendliness.
It was between this house, with the horses on a farm right behind us (which they've since sold to the church behind us who's plowing it all up to make a parking lot! or a house that was more expensive in Michigan overlooking a lake. 
Oh well...not the first huge mistake I've made in that I had to live with. 
At least there's the internet, right?.

I am not surprised you have heard of the Dells as we serve the mid west as a family vacation spot.

Did you know that I've tried for several years now to do my taxes on my own, and I always end up crying? I look at the forms and they seem like they shouldn't be all that difficult to figure out, especially since I don't have much of a life and therefore don't have too many numbers and such to write down.
Oh no, it can't be easy. Not for me. I feel like the stupidest and most inept human being in the freaking country. The math involved really isn't that complicated, yet I can't get it.
