He told my husband that he was a homosexual person and that he had been told that if Trump was elected that they would send homosexuals to concentration camps... (a falsehood but he was terrified by it)..

From whence did that false belief come?

It did not come from anything Trump ever said. Nor did it originate with anything Christian leaders Christian doctrinal positions, nor modern Christian practices now say.



In other words, that person's views either came from within himself or form other non-Christian source. Those Christians sources were so factually in error that they propagated a falsehood that was then just as falsely placed on others.

…were you challenged by god's moral code in any way...i.e - having to let go of a cherished belief in something like homosexuality not being a sin, abortion being the justified choice of a woman exercising body autonomy etc.? Did you struggle with that? If so how did you overcome that discomfort?

Yes, and one of those challenges is realizing many falsely imagine things about Christians or receive false information about Christians that lead them to believe we're gonna put homosexuals in concentration camps.

God's moral code does in fact tell us how to think and behave in the face of such bigotry and the victimization that bigotry has on young people with whom we work every day...


...and those teachings are challenging.

It was just anti-Trump propaganda from yes, non-Christians. He was told this on the internet.. got horribly frightened.

He wasn't the only one either, my sister in law encountered the same type of situation - and she works at the Pentagon. Those falsehoods were flying back then, everywhere, and were scaring the homosexual young adults who were gullible..
