I thought the post said did he die a christian?and what I said did line up with the post because I said the way he lived on this earth was not holy.

Exactly. None of us- none of us- live in a holy way on this earth before we make the decision to start a relationship with Christ.

Be honest: Is there the possibility that there is someone you know- or knew- who, if asked, might say that you aren't a Christian due to the way you presented yourself to that person at one time or another?

fifi said:
And I dont belive in saved by works by any means because are works will not get us to heaven only living holy and seperation from wourdly luts

You're contradicting yourself here. You say you don't believe in "saved by works", then say "Living holy and seperation from wourdly luts" will get you into heaven.

Living holy and separation from "wourdly luts" (worldly lusts?!?!?) are both things that you are doing. Those are, by definition, works, and they won't get anyone into heaven. We can't do anything to earn heaven. We gain heaven when we say to ourselves, of Jesus, "He is God", believing that He is...

what is your defintion if works because i am talking about people and pastors ministers that go feed the hugry give to the poor thats fine in all but i am saying some people even some that i know can not be truly saved but think they are because of their good works thats how i view works its just to keep our eyes off the main focus now holyness and seperation from the wourld is what we must do i guess you could say they where works but the works that is what we should be focusing on so i am not really shure if that help because i am shure what you are saying in full. but i will be happy to hear it.

I'm sorry, fifi, but I literally cannot understand most of what you wrote here as it's one long sentence, and I can't make heads-or-tails from the jumble of words. I'll address what I could decipher:

The definition of works (my definition, I suppose) is anything one might do to try and earn his/her place in heaven.

And, I'm getting the impression that your idea of separation from the world is the typical fundamentalist viewpoint of, "don't drink, smoke, chew, or hang out with those that do". The Pharisees harassed Jesus for doing just that...

Anyway, this viewpoint is precisely why the world has an increasingly cynical opinion about us, the Church...

You should be repped just for mentioning smokeless tobacco. As an aside, I'm going to laugh when everyone turns to Skoal as a result of smoking bans.

As long as nobody spits the juice in my face, I'm good with it. Except for my wife. I won't allow my wife to dip Skoal...

Man, how much of a Yankee do ya have to be to consider North Carolina "the South"? That's where most tobacco is produced, ya know...

Yeah, I live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana (unfortunately), but the South doesn't conform to the stereotype that many Northerners place on it. I've discovered that the North doesn't conform to the stereotype that many Southerners place on it, either...

Hey, I suppose I hate stereotypes...

So, me get this straight, then: If one is a Christian, one will absolutely never lose his/her temper and get in fight?

Is that what you're saying? Or are you focusing on the fact that he was- *gasp*- at a casino?

Just a little food for thought to serve as a comparison: The Pharisees publicly accused Jesus of being Beelzebub because He did things that were contrary to Judaical tradition, from picking grain to eat on the Sabbath to healing a demon-possessed man. Read Matthew 12.

Granted, I'm not saying that Tupac fighting in a casino is comparable to healing a demon-possessed man. What I'm saying is that your attitude about it is comparable to the Pharisees' judgemental attitudes...

So Tupac is caught on tape stomping a guy that is already down and I'm judging? Lol.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. It's not just a southern thing. It's international.

Yeah, particularly in the bigger cities (Atlanta, etc.), the stereotypes fall through (in my experiences). Then again, the rural areas of the midwest (particularly in Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, etc.) could probably be viewed as pretty "southern".

Yeah, you hit the nail on the head, here. It's not really Northern vs. Southern, but City vs. Country. Regardless of whether you're above or below the Mason-Dixon line...

Remember "Deliverance"? That was set in...where was it? Virginia or somewhere? Man, that was a good movie. Has nothing to do with Tupac, but it's a great movie anyway...

What...I'm from Georgia (born in Maryland, oh yes my friend, right under the Mason-Dixon line!;))! Trust me, NC is definitely the South.

And dipping is the nastiest thing ever.

The End.

Uh-uh! It's North Carolina!

Let me clarify: I do not dip. There, now that that's out of the way, I'll go on. Dipping is not the nastiest thing ever. Just picture this in your head:

Young woman wearing skin-tight sweatpants, house shoes, and a Betty Boop t-shirt. She weighs somewhere in the neighborhood of 275 lbs., and she's puffing on a cigarette like there's no tomorrow as she sits in the McDonald's drive-thru line waiting to pay for her Big Mac combo.

Now, that's nasty...

First of all, stop stalking me.

Second of all, picture instead of puffing a cigarette, she's spitting tobacco out her window.

Didn't it just get a whole lot nastier?

Also, here is a list of Southern States : North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia (^_^), Alabama, Mississippi, Florida (sort of...), Louisiana, Arkansas.

You didn't include my home-state of Texas in your list.

tired of gettin shot at
Tired of gettin chased by the police and arrested
Thugs need a spot where WE can kick it
A spot where WE belong, that's just for us
Thugs ain't gotta get all dressed up and be Hollywood
Y'knahmean? Where do [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] go when we die?
Ain't no heaven for a thug [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]
That's why we go to thug mansion
That's the only place where thugs get in free and you gotta be a G
... at thug mansion

[Verse One: 2Pac]
A place to spend my quiet nights, time to unwind
So much pressure in this life of mine, I cry at times
I once contemplated suicide, and woulda tried
But when I held that 9, all I could see was my momma's eyes
No one knows my struggle, they only see the trouble
Not knowin it's hard to carry on when no one loves you
Picture me inside the misery of poverty
No man alive has ever witnessed struggles I survived
Prayin hard for better days, promise to hold on
Me and my dawgs ain't have a choice but to roll on
We found a family spot to kick it
Where we can drink liquor and no one bickers over trick ****
A spot where we can smoke in peace, and even though we G's
We still visualize places, that we can roll in peace
And in my mind's eye I see this place, the players go in fast
I got a spot for us all, so we can ball, at thug's mansion

[Chorus: J. Phoenix + (Nas)]
Every corner, every city
There's a place where life's a little easy
Little Hennessy, laid back and cool
Every hour, cause it's all good
Leave all the stress from the world outside
Every wrong done will be alright (I wanna go)
Nothin but peace (I wanna go) love (I wanna go [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse])
And street passion, every ghetto needs a thug mansion

[Verse Two: Nas]
A place where death doesn't reside, just thugs who collide
Not to start beef but spark trees, no cops rollin by
No policemen, no homicide, no chalk on the streets
No reason, for nobody's momma to cry
See I'm a good guy, I'm tryin to stick around for my daughter
But if I should die, I know all of my albums support her
This whole year's been crazy, asked the Holy Spirit to save me
Only difference from me and Ossie Davis, gray hair maybe
Cause I feel like my eyes saw too much sufferin
I'm just twenty-some-odd years, I done lost my mother
And I cried tears of joy, I know she smiles on her boy
I dream of you more, my love goes to Afeni Shakur
Cause like Ann Jones, she raised a ghetto king in a war
And just for that alone she shouldn't feel no pain no more
Cause one day we'll all be together, sippin heavnly champagne
where angels soar, with golden wings in thug's mansion

[Chorus w/o Nas]

[Verse Three: 2Pac]
Dear momma don't cry, your baby boy's doin good
Tell the homies I'm in heaven and they ain't got hoods
Seen a show with Marvin Gaye last night, it had me shook
Drippin peppermint Schnapps, with Jackie Wilson, and Sam Cooke
Then some lady named Billie Holiday
Sang sittin there kickin it with Malcolm, 'til the day came
Little LaTasha sho' grown
Tell the lady in the liquorstore that she's forgiven, so come home
Maybe in time you'll understand only God can save us
When Miles Davis cuttin lose with the band
Just think of all the people that you knew in the past
that passed on, they in heaven, found peace at last
Picture a place that they exist, together
There has to be a place better than this, in heaven
So right before I sleep, dear God, what I'm askin
Remember this face, save me a place, in thug's mansion

[Chorus]
