  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

No on both accounts.

For one, many pro-choice people are using this as an opportunity to show the 'evils' of pro-life. Many Nihilists are also using this to show the 'evils' of Christianity.

For another, murder is never the solution. God said "Thou shalt not kill" and Christ also did not kill a person. The whole abortion issue is as delicate to handle as it is evil, but no matter how evil the problem may be, no matter how 'justifiable' it may be, the killing of another human being, no matter their occupation, is ever the solution.

There are better ways for pro-life to win the abortion debate in this country. Murdering is not one of them because it is not Christian. It is not the Christian way of doing things to kill, rather we need to do the Christian thing: pray for them.

Not really. In this temporal world, terrorist have won however, in eternal sense, the terrorist have lost. God holds us accountable for what we believe as well as how we think about the truth He has revealed. I see many give "lip-service" to the importance of doctrine and frown upon doctrinal discussions. The terrorist whether he is a Christian or not, God gave the governments the sword and He gave them the sword to use. This is to keep goodness prevalent and evil subdued. If you will read I Peter 2:14, “Governors we are to be subject to as under them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers.” That’s the law enforcement. They are sent for the punishment of evildoers. They do not bear the sword in vain.

God didn't say "kill" because God did kill many people over the years (i.e. flood, etc). God said "Thou shall not MURDER" (Notice that He did NOT say "thou shall not kill").
Exodus 20:13
NIV: You shall not murder.
NLT: Do not murder.
KJV: Thou shalt not kill (in hebrew "murder").
ESV: You shall not murder
NKJV: You shall not murder

Hebrew Word for MURDER: Xcr Transliterated Word: ratsach The Hebrew word for MURDER covers causing human death through carelessness or negligence, to murder, slay. (Qal) to murder, slay, premeditated, accidental as avenger, slayer, kill (intentional) (participle) (Niphal) to be slain (Piel) to murder, assassinate murderer, assassin (participle)(subst).

Hey anyone ever get the abortion doctor's death toll for life. I knew numbers were being tossed around but since he fed his family via the blood of the unborn I want to know the #s.

There's a sayin' amongst killers: "After the first one the rest are free"....

Abortion doctors will lose their jobs when women who opt for the procedure start giving a damn about the person in their wombs.

IF that ever happens.....then abortionists will have to find REAL jobs and stop feeding themselves and their families from the blood of innocents.

Nope, as it should be. Murder is murder. I have said from the beginning that this act will not save any babies nor will it stop abortion.
Hent and I agree on something?

For this to happen, than it must be true (especially for those who frequented the theology areas when Hentenza was slightly more active): murder is not the solution.

There was no “WIN” in this situation. A human being (no matter how loosely the term applies) is dead.

Peaceful Pro-Life Organizations will be suspect and treated and dealt with the same as Anti-Abortion Extremists and terrorists.

The shut-down of Tiller’s baby murdering clinic will only give rise to another and another and another (as already pointed out)…and more wrong and evil will be called right and good.

THE MOST TRAGIC LOSERS OF ALL...EVERY BABY MURDERED BY MEN AND WOMEN LIKE TILLER WHO JAB SURGICAL SCISSORS INTO FULLY DEVELOPED BABIES SKULLS, SUCK THEIR BRAINS OUT AND DISCARD THEIR LITTLE BODIES AS SO MUCH BIOLOGICAL WASTE.

I can’t help but wonder….if this tragedy on so many levels….would have even occurred had BHO not lifted the ban on partial birth abortions.

In any case, Tiller was murdered. Counter-murder is not what Christians should be doing.

I am at a loss as to how pro-choicers can fully misunderstand the potentiality of life. Potentiality merely means to have "potential". This potential refers to anything "with" potential which includes "in utero" babies, born babies, toddlers, kids, teenagers, and adults. All have potentiality. If an "in utero" baby is murdered then the potentiality is lost just like the potentiality of an adult is lost. But then, pro-choicers believe that the potentiality of an adult (the mother) superceeds the potentiality of an "in utero" baby. It defies the mind.

Absolutely...abortion is even more thoughtless and convenient with the morning after pill....possibly pregnant...take a pill and never have to live with your "choice" because you'll never actually know if you were even pregnant.

The liberal mentality has taken the "ugliness" away from standard abortion by every means possible..."babies" are no longer "aborted" but rather someone "chose" to "terminate the fetus" Even the term "Pro-choice" is much more palatable than Pro-Abortion...

I can't even fathom a 1st trimester standard abortion...how anyone could perform a third trimester partial birth abortion on a fully developed baby...is an absolute atrocity!

What is blowing my mind....in every article I've read on this incident...Tiller is being hailed as a god send to desparate women!

While I can not begin to understand the heartbreak of finding out your baby is deformed or disabled....I can't help but consider what kind of human being could take that little one's life and dispose of him/her like biological waste.

This thread made me think of Nick Vujicic....and his awesome testimony....which I considered posting here...but decided to post in a separate thread....

His parents, as Christians, would have never considered aborting Nick even had they known before he was born....he wouldn't have arms or legs.

Of course....we aren't supposed to legislate morality though....

Okay because I thought someone was saying around 60 thousand.
O'Reilly had a number in debate with an abortion supporter, I think Friday, but I don't remember it well enough to quote it.

It was 60 thousand late-term abortions.
With a fee of $5,000 per abortion, recently raise to $6,000.

$5,000. x 60,000 = $300,000,000. 300 million dollars for killing children.

This is between God and the Abortionist. I believe abortion is the last official stand of the defiant apostate against God. Abortion then becomes a violent anti-God act. It is not only a murder of the individual, it is an affront to the Creator.

In the 3rd century, the abortionists were called "Corrupters of God's creatures," a Latin word even emerged, the word, "abortuwantes" (sp.)—abortionists. "Abortion," they said, "brought the judgment of God." The Reformation didn't change this; the church has always seen abortion as murder, an act of violence, and a lack of love towards one God has created.

Sin is the problem and as long as we deal with sin, abortion will be around as much as murder, rape, violence and other acts will be around. In our world, God's truth they turn to perversion by bringing the end their humanism, or man-centeredness results in dehumanization of each other. Christianity will always be running against the prevailing society of individualistic views. We live in a world in which there is a great spiritual battle raging (Ephesians 6:10-18). The regenerate man often has a more difficult time of it than the unregenerate because of spiritual warfare.

I heard that on too. On O'Reilly's show.
And I also heard the 14 year old girl on his procedure.

And yet another awesome post sister.

This speaks for me too.

Also to Hentenza's post you reply to

The bottom line is that is life is not valued. This is why I cannot
vote for any President that doesn't value life; if he doesn't
value an infant's, he certainly cannot value mine or yours.
