That is a question that is still unanswered. But it is one of several potentially viable possibilities.Bible Duty said:Did the big bang create time? I often hear how the big bang created time and space.
Time and space were "created" at that moment or possibly just an expnasion of... but not the 24 hour day that you are thinking of, which is a function of our planet which was formed long after the Big Bang. Once you leave the Earth's atmosphere space and time become one unit collectively known as, spacetime.Bible Duty said:Did the big bang create time? Yes. I believe space is necessary for time to have meaning. A particle traveling through space constitues time.Arikay said:since space and time are linked, Yes the start of the space we experience was also the start of the time that we experience.

When said explosion is at the begening of time.Orison said:How can an explosion ever create order?
I realize that. I was speaking in relation to a 24 hour day that we operate under.Freodin said:Even within Earth´s atmosphere space and time are the unit know as "spacetime".
Yes, The Big bang does not discount or falsify a creator. We have quite a few clues that it left behind namely the CMB and Red shifting of every visible galaxy. There are 5 competeing theories as to the cause and "Deity/Gods" is one of the theories. None of the 5 theories have been falsified, as yet.JohnCJ said:Times starting point was the big bang. You and I believe we now who created that.![]()
It was not an "explosion" in the sense that you are thinking of, but more of an expansion.Orison said:How can an explosion ever create order?
