Hi Armothe,
Why do you think the OT "book of life" is the same as the New Testament "Lamb's book of life?" Would you not agree that only those who have become "the righteousness of God" are listed in the Lamb's book of life? So why does the OT have two books, the book of life and the book of the righteous? And why does Psalm 69:28 not say names will be blotted out of the book of righteousness? Food for thought.
Last point, a different view is that the judgment born again believers face is different than the Great White throne judgment. We earn rewards, like getting a blue ribbon for the best apple pie at a fair. It is a judgment but not a judgment of our misdeeds, but rather of our service. Anyhow, this view calls this rewards judgment the Bemis seat judgment. 1 Peter 1:17 refers not to deeds but to our work.
