Exactly the point of my OP. God "created" from the beginning, but he never stopped creating. Evolution is a process, a continuation. God already created the building blocks for life at the beginning of time, but he never had a completely hands off approach in his creation like people seem to think.

You're also confusing atheism with acceptance of Evolution- a common failing among Creationists. It's entirely possible to be an atheist and not accept Evolution. It's also possible to be a Christian and accept Evolution. The two are not connected.

Evolution is not an atheist concept. It's a scientific concept which is often embraced by atheists and Christians as a reasonable explanation for the ongoing process of change in life forms.

I've only ever met atheists who agree with the Darwinism theory of evolution. Perhaps investigate where that theory originated from. (And how it ended up in the church and minds of Christians) To deny a creator, yet accept we descended from apes is strange considering the fact humans are considerably more intelligent than apes.

Personally, when I step back and look the big picture I have no problem saying that evolution started with the Big Bang. It's when I focus on the changes of the earth directly in an over time sort of way that the perspective changes for me.
