CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So in my youth group, we were talking about Moses (one of my favorite topics) and I wanted to know what the voice of God sounded like. Tonight, I physically dropped to my knees and begged God to use me how he needed me after reading my Bible. A voice in my head, seemingly uncontrollable, said " Go forth and lead, my people will follow, as they know I am with your heart." I think God just spoke to me, but I'm about to pee myself because I'm scared I just spoke with the most powerful being EVER. Someone please help me. :o

It is ok, first exposure to Holy, not as a name or title, but in reality is awesome incredible and scary.. but then when the moment is gone, you pray for Him to return so that you can get use to being in His Holy Presence.

God did indeed say that to you by his Spirit. God has pointed you toward a scripture which proclaims Jesus death and resurrection. Only God's Spirit can do this, no other. Do not be decieved. satan wishes we doubt situations like this. We do not have to. Jesus is the God of the Spirit, the God of all power and he has told us to believe and not doubt. Do not let doubt rise in your hear.
Friend, Jesus has big plans for your life.
We do not always hear God as we wish to. Often when he speaks through his Spirit, his Words are like a sword to our heart and soul to lead us to repentance by his Grace. Jesus is humble at heart; his voice can often be soft. Listen for it. Let Jesus know you are waiting for him to speak - If he does not, it certainly does not mean he loves you less. I have experience this; some days I hear Words from God, some days I do not. It is the truth.
