No, only a few. Typically the Apostles were run out of a city by the Jews or Pagans because they were leading people away from the majority religion. The total conversion of the population of the Roman Empire took centuries.

No. The Bible speaks of their numbers growing and says things like "3,000" was added to the number of believers" or other numbers in different places

It would be most unlikely for that to happen. Paul's usual strategy was to go to the synagogue --- virtually every city in the Mediterranean world had one. I also think that he found his greatest success amongst the "God fearers". These were Gentiles who were interested in Judaism but who either had not yet been circumcised or who were reluctant to.
