Did Darwin really exist?

I read somewhere that Charles Darwin didn't actually exist. His part, and the myth of his existence was an act put out by Wallace and a few friends because they needed a front for their "theory". And because Erasmus was known to have dabbled in the field, they figured they'd use the name Darwin to lend support to it.
But I can't remember where I read this.
Can anyone help?

I heard that Wallace was actually a chimpanzee with an inferiority complex, and he was just trying to drag humanity down to his level.

Maybe we're both right. We should start a movement. I'll bet we will get eleventyseven thousand people eagerly agreeing. Throw in a quote mine or two, a few bits of mangled ID sciunz, a Bible verse or so, and off we go!
