I still say the "word" is God and not Jesus/Yeshua.

Revelation 19:11-16 supports this: The Rider on the White Horse is God -- "His name is called The Word of God."

11Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:

KING OF KINGS AND
LORD OF LORDS.

How is this God and not Yeshua. For one, only God is the King of kings and Lord of lords.

For two, "He had a name written that no one knew except Himself." If this was the Son then God the Father would know the name too, but this says that no one knows except Himself. Where else do we see that the Father knows something that no one else knows?

That’s your interpretation. Since the rest of the Bible says Yeshua isn’t God them doesn’t fit with the Biblical narrative. God isn’t a different person through all of scripture.

He wasn't being truthful. He is apparently confused by misinterpreting the Word of Adonai. Adonai can be rendered as plural; whereas Adoni is singular. "I AM who I AM" can also be rendered as both a singular and plural entity.

We agree that GOD is ONE. The oneness of His plural nature might be compared to water: Liquid, Steam, Frozen. But that comparison isn't the same as the plural oneness nature of GOD. The same water can't be liquid, steam or ice at the same time, all the time.

God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit at the same time, and He is always, has always been, and will always be Father, Son and Spirit at the same time, all the time. Water is sometimes liquid, sometimes steam, and sometimes ice, but never all three at the same time. GOD is: Father, Son and Spirit at the same time. The Holy Spirit is His Spirit.

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.​

Those that don't believe in the plurality of GOD'S nature might contend that He was referring to His heavenly host and not His Son. Read John 1:1-3, 14 is perfectly clear even to a non-theologian, but not to a biased theologian.
