Did anyone see the Jerry Falwell interview?

The poor guy ended up apologizing for what he said.... I wish he wouldn't have done that. The truth hurts some people, doesn't it?

So then you think Mohammad is a terrorist?

If Jerry Falwell spoke about his beliefs rather than trying to increase his popularity and influence, he would not need to apologize so often. If he believes what he says, why apologize? If he doesn't, why is he saying it?

That's just it. I would believe a lot of what he has to say and trust in him more if he'd actually back something that he said for once. I would much rather people stop saying stuff if they don't really mean what they're saying. It's very disappointing.

And YES, I do believe Mohammed was a terrorist, as well as a pedophile. The information is all there, and I encourage you to do your research.

I attend Liberty University which was founded by Jerry Falwell and every MWF we have Convocation/Chapel, and every Wednesday Jerry speaks during convo. I heard the radio broadcast of his church service this morning and he was apologizing not for what he said, but because it has been used to bring about conflict. He had spent an hour with the 60 Minutes interviewer talking about "Christians for Israel" and they take one statement and use it for their own propaganda. ;) Since then statement he has been acused of starting a riot in India (supposedly caused by his comment), and other things. His apology was that he was sorry if people thought he hated Muslims or any other religious people, rather he is against the certain beliefs that they hold.

Just wanted to throw another perspective into the bag.

I don't like the fact that what Jerry Falwell says is what a lot of people think is the "christian viewpoint". I don't like that he is so quick to spout off his judgemental opinions instead of portraying a loving, caring attitude as a Christian is supposed to. I certainly don't like that liberal media uses soundbites to stir up controversy, but, that is what they do and it will never change.

I haven't ever researched Mohammed, or the Muslim religion to any extent, so I cannot voice a personal opinion on whether he was a terrorist or a pedophile or a tax evader. But, I would have to say that if Muslims were upset about being called terrorists, or their founder being called a terrorist, they would find a less incriminating way of expressing their anger than rioting and killing people.

I'm sure you realize that only a very small minority of Muslims actually do such things?

I know you wouldn't want people to judge your religion by a handful of abortion doctor killers.

I am very aware that it's a small minority, but unfortunately, in the world we live in, they are the ones who get the attention.  Same as the abortion doctor killers.  Same as Jerry Falwell (The point of my opening sentence in the reply of mine you quoted).  I was just saying that people should think about their reactions before reacting.  Everyone.  Regardless of belief.

How about you actually read these?

My goodness you are certainly looking for a fight around here.

I don't want to fight, but why would Jerry Falwell or his fan base, say anything against him?

These were not his "fan base."

These are all completely different sites.... I have done my research on this subject, and agree with a lot of the information.

I simply posted the Jerry Falwell site, to let people know that he really does believe that Mohammed is a terrorist, as he supports this on his own website. That was all.

Aww...poor, poor Jerry Falwell ... I only hope that he can somehow find comfort in his millions upon millions of dollars.

What did Jesus say about rich men, again?

No, I can confidently say he doesn't trust in his "millions" but rather in his Savior :)

I encourage you to please do your research.....

Ok, I read this and came across this first:

"In 624 Abu Bakr (Muhammad’s daily companion and one of his first believers and successor of Muhammad) gave Muhammad his daughter Aisha when she was six years old, although the actual marriage was not consummated until she was nine. This fact is uncontested by all Muslim scholars and chroniclers without exception). At the time of their marriage Muhammad was 54 years old (the age of her grandfather) – a difference of 45 years in their ages."

Pretty bad stuff right? Well I kept reading and came across this well known lie. (Note that lack of any source)

"Allah: Arabic name for God. Originally derived from near Eastern
moon god (thus, crescent moon symbolism in Islamic art)."

Thus, I have a hard time buying the rest of what he says.

I think *he* should "do his research."

Ah, and then this other guy says...

http://members.truepath.com/MichaelSiemer2/index-4.html

It's to Late for Mohammed, He's Burning in Hell, But its not to late You.

Its interesting that he thinks that he can judge the salvation of someone.

The Pope teaches and it is also stated in the Catholic Catechism,
That ; "The Moslems are our fellow Brothers, for they also worship
the one same God that we do"

Hmmm, let look at what the Cathechism actually says...

"841 The Church's relationship with the Muslims. "The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day."

So, Muslims claim to worship the God of Abraham, which is, guess who, the SAME God you worship.

(Now I wouldn't doubt that these two groups worship the same false gods
they both pray in vain repetition, and they both pray on beads.)"

Thats nice, a shining example of Christian love.

Do you have any other links that might offer factual information?
