Forget about creation, evolution, and the flood, lets talk about important stuff! Did Adam and Eve have a belly button (umbilicus for you scientific types)? Musta looked weird without one ehh? Of course neither had a need for one because they were both just whipped up by God in the Garden. No actual birth took place so no belly button. I will go to sleep tonight pondering this great mystery. Seacrest out.

They were not born. Why would they need a belly button?

Isn't there a view that mankind originated from Africa?

Eve, the mother of all mankind?

A little more than 10 years ago molecular biologists believed that they had found evidence in human genes that all people share a common female ancestor, dubbed Eve, who lived in Africa about 200,000 years ago. The claim has seemingly been challenged on both genetic and fossil evidence, and it had been supported by a repetition of the same kind of analysis. There is an argument that one would expect all current humans to have one common ancestor based on sampling statistics alone.

Let's put this a different way. Let's look at you and your cousins. You share a female common ancestor, your shared grandmother. However, you also have a grandmother that is not shared with your cousins that lived in the same generation as your shared grandmother. That is how most recent common ancestors (MRCA's) work. There is the common ancestor, and also the uncommon ancestors that add genetic material to the population. Mitochondrial Eve does not indicate that the entire human race was founded by a single female.

Where does the Bible say that Adam did not have a mother?

Genesis 1:27

So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.

Jesus was the only immaculate conception.

How did God create Adam? How do you know that God did not use Theistic Evolution to Create Adam? When I look at a tree the tree starts out as a very small seed. Over a long period of time the tree begins to grow. So do you think that God created full gown trees in the Garden. Or did He plant a seed and allow the seed to grow? Do you know anything about Remnant Theology? Have you studied it at all? God always starts off with a remnant of what was here before. That is just the way God does things. After the ice age God repopulated the earth with a remnant of what was here before. There was a mass extinction (Holocene). Not all the different species survived. Most of the big ones died off. But God repopulated the earth using a remnant of what was here before the extinction.

Genesis 3:19

19 By the sweat of your brow
you will eat your food
until you return to the ground,
since from it you were taken;
for dust you are
and to dust you will return.”
Yes, God makes us from the elements that come from the ground. That still does not tell us HOW God makes us from the elements we find in the ground. We know with the tree He will use a seed to turn the dust into a tree. In the last 50 years we have learned about DNA that comes from Amino Acids. Science does not know where the amino acids come from or how they formed themselves into DNA. OF course we know that God did it. Because we know that there is intelligence in the design. It is not all a blind rolling of the dice and a game of chance as some of the skeptics would like to suggest. In fact all of creation is a very delicate balance. In this day of nano technology we have machines that are accurate to within two 10 million billionths of a second.

The elements or "dust" that makes up people are:

"Oxygen (65%)
Carbon (18%)
Hydrogen (10%)
Nitrogen (3%)
Calcium (1.5%)
Phosphorus (1.0%)
Potassium (0.35%)
Sulfur (0.25%)
Sodium (0.15%)
Magnesium (0.05%)
Copper, Zinc, Selenium, Molybdenum, Fluorine, Chlorine, Iodine, Manganese, Cobalt, Iron (0.70%)
Lithium, Strontium, Aluminum, Silicon, Lead, Vanadium, Arsenic, Bromine (trace amounts)"

The elements listed below are the known elements that make up the human body.

oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sulfur, sodium, chlorine, magnesium, iron, fluorine, zinc, silicon, rubidium, strontium, bromine, lead, copper, aluminum, cadmium, cerium, barium, iodine, tin, titanium, boron, nickel, selenium, chromium, manganese, arsenic, lithium, cesium, mercury, germanium, molybdenum, cobalt, antimony, silver, niobium, zirconium, lanthanum, gallium, tellurium, yttrium, bismuth, thallium, indium, gold, scandium, tantalum, vanadium, thorium, uranium, samarium, beryllium, tungsten

Eve did not need one, she came from Adam's rib. But Science tells us that Adam had a mother. In fact the Jewish people want to use the DNA to make sure someone is Hebrew before they will allow them to have citizenship in Israel. I do not understand exactly what their immigration DNA laws are. I think that they go by the mother.

I choose to believe what the Bible tells me, not science (note the lower case S).
What does the Bible tell you? There is no conflict between Science and the Bible. Again and again science has proven our Bible to be true. Esp in the area of History and Archaeology. In order to graduate from High School there is a test so that you are required to learn some science.

IMO, if God made Adam from a "mother" that would be included in the Scriptures. It would be pretty relevant, don't you think?
God speaks to us in and through Creation. In this case God is speaking to us though the DNA. The Bible is not God's plan of Creation, the Bible is God's plan of redemption.

Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Yep. But woman was taken from man as given. Just to note, under normal conditions the germinal faculties of the man produces both the X and Y chromosomes while the ovum in the woman produces only the X. A reflection of the properties therein.

Those tests cover actual Science. While there is Biblical history, there is no Scientific History. So there can be no conflict with actual Science.

Jesus was the only immaculate conception.

I thought his mom was the "immaculate conception", and he was the "virginal conception". Confusing.

But then, it's just a story. Staying with the story, I would have them with belly buttons, but just not scarred, having never been used or attached.
